Fire of undetermined cause
broke out in an upstairs room
of the two-story house. It was
first noticed about 10:30 a.m.
Thursday.
A Forest Service pumper
truck went to the scene, but
firemen and neighbors were only
able to save some furniture,
household items and two deep
freezes, according to reports.
The house, the old Vinetrout
home, was believed to have been
built in 1302.
