jury found George Jones, 67,
guilty of second degree murder
Thursday night.
Jones was convicted in De
cember, S!2, of the skidrow
stabbing of Robert Bowman. 33,
here, but thc Oregon Supreme
Court recently overturned the
verdict and ordered a new trial.
The ease went to the jury
earlier Thursday.

Wallace's speech is one of

He is scheduled to fly to Port
land from Los Angeles on Jan.
12 and hold a news conference
at the Hilton Hotel in Portland
Jan, 13 at 10 a.m., after which
he travels to Eugene. He also
plans a 3:30 p.m. news confer
ence in Eugene on that date.
