Prospect Women Announce Party PROSPECT-The Lady Lions of Prospect will conduct their Christmas party and gift ex change Wednesday, December 11 in the home of Mrs. Eugene Burrell. The event will be held in the evening and members are to take bazaar items and articles for baskets to be distributed at Christmas time. The bazaar is to be held in the near future. Reunion Is Held Mrs. H. E. Webber, who re cently celebrated her eightieth birthday anniversary was the honored guest when her two sons and three daughters and their families gathered for a reunion. A dinner was served in the an nex of the First Church of the Nazarene, Saturday evening, November 30. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Webber, Hayward, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Nolan (Ern estine) Arnett, Klamath Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Rusell Webber and family, Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Rex (Eunice) Vowell and fam ily; Mr. and Mrs. George (Hel en) Sherman, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Sherman and family, all Mcdford; Mr. and Mrs. David Arnctl, Oakland, Calif. ; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Perkins and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Web ber and family, Livermore. Calif. Included among those mas meeting present were 10 of Mrs. Web ber's grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Webber, who has been hospitalized for some time be cause of serious illness, was not able to attend the dinner. Physician ONA Speaker Dr. Alvin . Roberts will be guest speaker at a meeting of the Oregon Nurses Association Tuesday, December 10 at R p.m., in Rogue Valley Memorial Hospital Auditorium. The doctor will speak on his recent experience in Hnmadan, Iran. Special guests for (he eve ning will be Medford High School Future Medics Club.' All inlercsted nurses in the-valfcy are invited to attend this Christ- When Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vosika, 2208 College Way, Med ford, observed their fiftieth wed ding anniversary Saturday, November 30 some 150 friends and relatives, some from as far as Florida, called on the couple between the hours of 1 ;and 4 p.m. The open house was. held at the home of the' couple's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Zundel, Route 3, Box 122A, North Foothills Road, Medford. ' Hots for the event were the couple's daughters and sons and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wood. Mr.' and Mrs. Zundel, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Vosika, all Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Vosika, Santa Ana Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Vosika, Lvanston, Wyo. This was the first time the Vosika family had been to gether in 35 years. Theme Is Gold The Zundel home was decor ated with yellow and gold chry. santhemums with gold tinted laurel leaves. The wedding cake centered the buffet table. Granddaughters of the couple assisted. Mrs. Robert KubicK, Portland, poured coffee; Miss Sylvia Zundel served tea, and Miss Cherolynn Vosika regis tered the guests and took charge of gifts. The gift table was centered by a gold money trees, a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kubick. Mrs. Wood poured punch and Mrs. Zundel and Mrs. A. D. Vosika cut and served the cake. Norman Larson, a nephew, sang and a medley of songs was furnished by the men pres ent. From out of town were sis ters of Mr. Vosika and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Bessler, Sioux Falls, S. D.; Mrs. Elizabeth Jochim, Seattle; Mr, and Mrs. John Larson, Matta- wa. Wash.; his brothers and families. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vosika, Seattle; George Vos ika, Van Nuys, Calif.; his nephews and families, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Larson, San Jose; Gordon Larson, Grand Coulee, Wash., and Gary Larson, Rich- Luncheon, Party Plan of Class The annual Christmas party for Golden Link Class members will be held Thursday, Decem- Dcr Vi at 1 p.m., in the Fire place Room of First Baptist Church. Luncheon will be served at 1 p.m. Those who attend wilh names beginning with letters A through M, should take salad and pumpkin pie; and those with initials M through Z are lo take fried chicken and a -veg. etable. The honored couple was mar ried in Shields, N.D., where he was associated with a railroad. They farmed for a few years and then moved to Sioux Falls where Mr. Vosika was employed by Morrell Meat Packing Com pany for 16 years. In 1943 they moved to Medford and for 18 years, until his retirement in June, 1062, Mr. Vosika was em ployed by Medford Corpora tion. Mrs. Vosika has been active in several community organizations. Westminster Guild Meeting Scheduled Westminster Guild of First Presbyterian Church will con duct a Christmas meeting Mon day, December 9 at 7:30 p.m., in the church Fireplace Room. ' Devotions will be presented by Mrs. Stanley Jones Sr., and a Christmas program will be con ducted by Mrs. James Medley.
