Denmark, where they opened the work of the Church of the Nazarene, will sneak Sunday evening at the First Church, 520 N. Holly St. The service starts at 7 p.m. The pastor, The Rev. Harold M. Sanner, announced that the Klevens will show films of the work in Denmark and will re main in American for a period of only three months. The Klevens, before going to Copen hagen, resided for a time in Eugene. Mr. Sanner will also give ad ditional reflections on the death of President John F. Kennedy in his message Sunday at 11 a.m. His topic is "The Law of Liberty." Perry Christiansen, minister of music, has stated that the sanctuary choir will sing "Have You Any Room for Jesus" and a duet will be presented by Mel Johnson and Dean von Stein for the morning worship. Music for the 7 p.m. service will be a number by the evangel choir and a baritone solo by George McUne. Congregational sing ing and the choirs in both serv ices Sunday will be directed by von Stein. Ascension Lutheran Activities Noted Ascension Lutheran church will conduct its regular wor ship service Sunday at 11 a.m at 2617 Barnett Road. The pas. torJ the Rev. McAndrews Road, Thursday, Dec. S at 7:30 p.m. Before World War II. Mr. Wil llscroft spent two years in the Free City of Danzig and Poland He left Danzig on the last train to depart from the city only six days prior to the attack on Po land by tne Nazi army, Mr. and Mrs. Williscroft made their own house into a hospital ity home for American service men stationed in Europe. They were in constant touch with some 1,500 American service men through correspondence, a monthly magazine they publish ed for them, church rallies con ducted on American holidays, and fellowship groups sponsor ed on many bases. Most of the Williscroft's time Europe during the past six years has been spent in Ger many. Beside other countries in Europe, they have ministered in Belgium and Yugoslavia. Twenty teams of two persons will assemble at the church for supper, provided by the Wo men's Association. After prepa ration and instruction by Dr. D. Kirkland West, minister, these Adventists To Hear of Program Members of the Medford Seventh-day Adventist Church will hear C-J. Ritchie, Oregon Conference Home Missionary leader, Saturday at 11 a.m. as he outlines plans for broadening the scope of community service programs locally and nationally. The church will welcome a number of its young people home from academies and col leges for the Thanksgiving holi days. Among those from Milo Academy will be Caroline Big ger, Jeannie Koenig, Kathy Koenig, Stan Mohr, Karen Ritz, Linda Santos and Gene Yost. Sharon Bowman, Sandra Burrill, Keith Kendall and Irita Snyder will be here from Walla Walla College. There will be an associated Missionary Volunteer program for members of all four Valley churches at 4 p.m. in the Med ford church featuring a sing spiration and varied musical selections under the direction of Mrs. Richard Ellis. The Rogue Valley Chorale will meet at 5 p.m. in the Pathfinder clubhouse. Ruch Community Sermon Announced RUCH - "God's Perfect Tim ing" is the topic of the sermon to be given by Pastor Earl R. Mortlock at Ruch Community Church Sunday at 11 a.m. Com munion service also will be held. Young people's meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hunter as advisors. There will be Scripture study and community singing. A memorial service in tribute to President John F. Kennedy was held at the church at noon Monday. St. Peter's Starts New Church Year The beginning of the new church year, the fourth Sunday before Christmas, will be ob served at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1020 E. Main St., in both services at 8:15 and 11 a.m. The Rev. John E. bimon, pastor of the church, has chosen as his sermon topic, The Ad vent Invitation: Open Your Heart To The Lord." Westminster The fifth anniversary of the organizing of the Westminster Presbyterian Church will be ob served Sunday. On Dec. 1, 1958 the Presbytery of Southwest Oregon met at the First Presby terian Church to organize the new congregation with 124 mem bers. The church now numbers 381 members. The Rev. John O. Reynolds will preach on the subject "No other Foundation" at the 11 a.m. worship service, and the choir will sing the anthem "Lamb of God." Four new members will be publicly wel comed during the service. Chil dren from 5 to 10 years may at tend children's church and nurs ing care is provided for those below that age. Church school classes meet at 9:45 a.m. Sunday for children and youth, with an adult class meeting at the same hour under the direction of the pastor. Roundtable Topic Given for Weekend The Minister's Roundtable on KMED-TV and radio this week end will consider the topic: "What is Medford's role in. the civil rights crisis of our na tion? What is and should be done within our community in this area of national concern?" The Rev. Robert W. Tull, minister of the Congregational Church, will serve as moderat or, with the Rev. David Browne of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and Capl. Kenneth Angel of the Salvation Army as members of the panel.
