l Local and Teens Dance A dance ses sion for Twistin' Teens Square Pance Club will be held at 7:30 o'clock tonight, in the Ray resi dence, Route 1, Box 271, Old Stage Road, Central Point, plans for a council dance will be made. All interested teen-age dancers are invited. Clinic Closed Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no chest x-ray clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital this week, according to the Jackson County Tuberculosis and Health Association. Clinics will be re sumed next week with the monthly evening clinic held the first Wednesday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m., Dec. 4, and the regular Thursday clinic from 2 to 5. Lawn Damaged Central Point police have reported that someone drove a car across the front lawn at Crater High School last week end. The car tore up the grass as it went. Building Permit A building permit to erect a $10,000 resi dence at 424 Plum St., has been issued by the Medford building department to D. L. Pickell. Park Work Two Medford boys, ages 15 and 16, were ordered to work four hours each in the Medford city parks after they appeared in munici pal court this morning on charges of illegal possession of tobacco. Johnsons To Keep Holiday Routine WASHINGTON (UPI) -Although President Johnson's life has undergone some drastic changes in recent days, he plans to retain one semblance of his past family routine. A the PH' In the Dining Room OPEN Dr. Wexler Dies Of Heart Attack ASHLAND Dr. Herman Wexler, chiropractic physician and owner and operator of Buckhorn Mineral Sr- vigs since 1942, died Tuesday afternoon of a heart attack at the Ashland Elks Club. Dr. Wexler, a native of Bre men, Germany, where he was born April 25, 180(1, '"d prac ticed in the City ui Ashland as well as operating the Buckhorn Mineral Springs for the past 20 years. He received his education in Baden, Germany, where he studied medicine and got his degree as a medical doctor. Coming to the United States in 1918, he entered Western States Chiropratic College and after graduation practiced in Port land and later in Lakeview be fore moving to Ashland. He was an officer in the Al lied Army during World War I. In Ashland, Dr. Wexler was a long time member of Lodge No. 944, BPOE, and the Lions club. He is survived by a son, Paul G. Wexler, Eugene, a daughter, Mrs. Marsha Wililams, Long Beach, Calif.; three grandchil dren; two sisters, one residing in Odessa, Russia, and the other in South America. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Litwiller's Mountain View Chapel. Alaska University Planning Expansion PORTLAND (UPI)-Plans for a $2.8 million expansion pro gram at Alaska Methodist Uni versity in Anchorage were dis closed Tuesday by the school's board of trustees. Construction of new buildings is expected to begin early in 1964. Plans call for homes for faculty families, a dormitory for 85 students and a student union building. The school, with 316 students at present, is one of two four year colleges in Alaska. The other is the University of Alas ka at Fairbanks. MILLARD Memorial services for Anna E. Willard, 71, formerly of 822 W. 12th St., who died Tuesday, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Perl Funeral Home. The Rev. Bruce Rogers, pastor of Trinity Baptist church, will officiate. Mrs. Willard was born May 15, 1892 in Cheyenne, Wyo. On Feb. 26, 1916, in Chicago, 111., she was married to Ralph T. Willard, who died Aug. 13, 1959. She is survived by distant relatives Jn eastern United States. SETHRE INFANT Funeral services for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Sethre of Medford, who died Tuesday, were held today at the graveside in Siskiyou Memorial Park. The Rev. Harold Sanner, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiated with Perl Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The infant is survived by an infant twin brother, one sister, Carol Sethre, and another broth er, John Sethre Jr., all at home in Medtord. O. G. VANDERWALKER O. G. Vander walker, 1101 South Oakdale Ave., Medford, died this morning at a Medford hospital. Siskiyou Funeral Service Di rectors of the Chapel in the Trees Mortuary are in charge of funeral arrangements. FRED VANCURLER ASHLAND-Fred VanCurler, 70, of 2255 Ashland Mine Road, Ashland, died Tuesday, Nov. 26. He had been in partnership with his brother, Dewey Van Curler, in plaster contracting arid lumber business in Ashland and in recent years the two were owners of the Ashland Mine. He was a veteran of World War I, having served as a sergeant in Battery C, 146th FA regiment. He was a mem ber of the Seventh Day Ad- ventist Church. Born July 4, 1893, in Little Falls, Minn., Mr. VanCurler is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary VanCurler, and a son, Fred VanCurler, and a daughter, Donna Sue VanCurler, at home in Ashland; two stepchildren, Mrs. Franklin Ferguson of Med ford, and Michael Andrews of Ashland and four grand children. Also surviving are six broth ers and sisters: Jerry VanCur ler, Spokane, Wash., Dewey VanCurler, Delivan Van Curler, Mrs. Mae Glidden and Mrs. and Mrs. Effie LaBlanc and Charles King, all of Ashland; and Mrs. Effie La Blanc and Mrs. Ed Lobb, both of Seattle; and a nephew, Donald C. Van Curler, of Prospect, who made his home for many years with the VanCurlers. VanCurler's first wife, Nellie, preceded him in death in 1947, and he was married in Medford, Feb. 19, 1948, to Mary Opal Fendley, who survives. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at the Litwiller Mountain View Chapel with Elder Arvin Winkle "officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View ceme tery. JENNIE WALDEN Funeral services for Jennie Walden, 87, formerly of 1707 N. Riverside Ave., who died Tuesday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Perl Funeral Home. The Rev. Norman North rop, associate pastor of First Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park. ' Mrs. Walden was born Nov. 19, 1876, in Wisconsin. She moved to Medford from South Dakota in 1900. On July 3, 1912, in Med ford, she was married to Eli O. Walden, who died in September, 1941. Prior to 1936, she and Mr. Walden operated the Walden Bros. Grocery at 1715 N. River side Ave. She was a charter member of First Christian Church. Survivors include three sons, Carl R. Walden, T a c o m a, Wash., William O. Walden, Mt. Shasta, Calif., Charles H. Wal den, Medford; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Strong, Medford, Mrs. Eva Andrews, Tacoma, Wash.; one brother, Earl Shaf fer, Quinn, S.D.; 13 grandchil dren and six great grand children. Pallbearers at the services will be B. E. Ford, W. J. House, Floyd Cary, C. J. Hunter, J. F. Evans and E. N. Biden. Police Seek Man In Canby Slaying OREGON CITY (UPI)-Police today continued to seek a man for questioning in the gunshot slaying of Minnie Kornelia Mille- son, 63, a widow from nearby Canby. Her body was discovered in her home by a neighbor on Sun day. She apparently had been shot Saturday, police said. Police said two transients who were picked up while driving the dead woman's car had been cleared as murder suspects. They apparently found the car in Portland's skid road district, police said. (UPI) , Klamath Falls Woman Killed; Husband Held KLAMATH FALLS (UPI) -Mrs. Ellen Dixon, about 45, was shot and fatally wounded Tues day night and police today held her husband, Oliver Wendell Dixon, 52, Klamath Falls. State police said the shooting apparently occurred in the fam ily automobile. Dixon drove to state police headquarters and turned himself in, police said.
