The badly-decomposed body of little Doreen Heskett, of Napa, was found in a field which had been searched by a 3.000-person volunteer force shortly after her disappearance. , Doreen's body was found by body was clad in the same cloth ing worn by the child when she departed from a playmate and headed for home, four blocks away. Storm: Clear, calm weather returned to Southern California in the wake of a storm that dumped as much as 3.12 inches of rain along the coast and left a path of mud slides and power failures. County Declared Disaster Area WASHINGTON (UPI) -The Small Business Administration has declared King County, Washington, a disaster area as a result of- rain and flooding which occurred Tuesday. The disaster designation per mits churches and charitable in stitutions, owners of homes and businesses, whose property was damaged or destroyed to apply for low-interest SBA loans. SBA officials in Seattle said the declaration was made in connection with a flood in the Vasa Park housing area near Lake Sammamish. (UPI) Firm's Motion Denied by Judge THE DALLES (UPI) -Circuit Judge Malcolm Wilkinson has denied a motion by Harvey Alu minum Co. to restrain Wasco County from turning over $89,- 132 in tax money to the Cheno with School District west of here. The company filed motions Nov. 15 asking that no money be disbursed until the Chenowith and The Dalles districts settle their boundary dispute. Harvey contends part of its property is in The Dalles district and part of its taxes should be paid to that district. A circuit court decision that issue is pending. Influenza Heads List of Diseases Twenty-tour cases of influenza were reported to the Jackson County Health Department for the week ending Friday, ac cording to Dr. A. Erin Merkel Jackson County public health officer. Thirteen such cases were re- polled (rom Mcdtord, seven from Ashland and four from Phoenix. Trail reported one case of pneumonia and Medford two. Rogue River reported two cases of strep throat. Other communicable diseases included one case o( measles in Medlord, one case each o( mumps from Medford and Jacksonville, one case each of German measles, Medford and Jacksonville, and one case of chicken pox in Ashland. Concrete Used for Extension Riprap Broken concrete from the old Federal building at Riverside Avenue and Sixth Street is being used by the city for riprap on the Siskiyou Street extension, i according to City Engineer Ver non Thorpe. City Manager Robert Duff said the city has been using such material for the street's extension during the past two years, obtaining it at substan tial saving to the city.
