Two things fill my heart gratitude and love." DOG OWNER SUES CINCINNATI, Ohio (UPI)-A "loyal and faithful dog" had stroke and his owner filed $100,000 suit Wednesday against race track and the Thorough bred Protective Bureau. Keith Robinson charged he was evicted from River Downs race track on June 26, 1962, aft er he paid the $2 admission, and was placed in the county jail for a week on a trespassing charge. During tnis time his dog had suffered a stroke, he said. The suit also said Rortason was later found innocent of the trespass charge. Cradle-to-Grave Costs to Appear In Labor Report WASHINGTON (UPI) - The Labor Department will check prices from the cradle to the grave for Its streamlined cost-of-living index that will appear next February. The costs of funerals a con troversial national topic will be calculated for the first time in computing average expenses of the city-dwelling wage earn er. . Labor Department officials said investigators would check the price of a complete funeral with undertakers in 50 cities. Their findings on funerals will not be listed separately by the government but will be blended with other price data in deter mining the Consumer Price In dex (CPI). Bank service charges, leeal fees, room rent, and hotel and motel charges also will be checked for the first time next January for inclusion In the re vised index. Valuable Statistics The index already includes the cost of a baby delivery, pulling a tooth, beer and whis ky, movie admissions and news papers in addition to food, hous ing and transportation. The index, often considered one of the government's most valuable statistics, will be broadened to include single per sons living alone. It formerly was limited to families of two or more. Ewan Clague. commissioner of labor statistics, said this would make it more useful as an indicator of how the 60 mil lion urban wage earners in the nation spend their incomes. Changes in the price of food, often of major importance in the Index's fluctuations, will be "considerably less , Important" in the new measure of inflation ary trends, Clague said. On the other hand, housing and transportation costs will have more weight In the Index starting next year. BOTHERED IAITU A -will! r- &5 DRIP f?OR BALKY WfAM' rri DRAIN? FRANK PRICE IS WAITING . . .
