Duncan. The bill provides for a one year extension of the program. The extension has been sought by the Fruit Growers League, which has repeatedly pointed out that employment of Mexicans is necessary to the harvest of the Rogue River valley fruit crop. Growers and shippers contend that the local labor and migrant labor is never adequate, partic ularly in the late season, to move the fruit. Fire Permits Not Needed in District CENTRAL, POINT-Hcsidonts in the Central Point Rural Fire Protection District may now burn trash and debris without obtaining a fire permit. Fire season in the district end ed as of today, Chief 1,. C. Lis enbee said. Permits for burning had been required since last June. They will lie required again next year when weather turns hot and dry and fire dan ger is acute.
