IS meeting of the Eagle Point Grange, three plaques were presented to mem bers of the Reese Creek Rene gades, one of the local 4-H clubs. The plaques from the Eagle Point Grange were presented by Master Cliff Moore and C. C. Hoover to Benny Gardiner for soil conservation and Ila Moore, who received tow plaques. One was for tree conservation and the other for being outstanding member of the club. James Wilson, lecturer, re ported on an article "America Land of the Free," which dealt with religion and prayer in schools. Myrtle Evans, Morton and Evalina Gossett, and Andrew and Carolyn Booth were given the degree obligation by Master Cliff Moore and are now mem bers of the Eagle Point Grange. Agriculture report was given by Ed Kunkel who told of a surplus of beef and that the im porting of beef from foreign ": i. C2& . WANT .. The Home Economics Club Chairman Mrs. W. E. Davies announced that the club was sponsoring a Community Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the hall. Ushered into the Street for about 45 minutes after a voice on a1 telephone told a theater worker a bomb was planted in the building. Officers said the call was ap parently the work of a prank ster. VISIT JAPAN YOKOHAMA. Japan (UP1) -A party of 25 American mayors and other city officials headed by Mayor George Christopher of San Francisco arrives here Oct. 28 for a two week visit to Japan. clubs and organizations in the community are taking part in the bazaar. Any individual or organization wanting to partici pate in the bazaar should con tact Mrs. Davics. If enough interest is shown. this could become an annual af fair. There will be music during the afternoon and evening. There will also be a refresh ment booth. It was reported that one of the clubs in the com munity would have a rummage sale in one part of the hall. The regular monthly meeting of the Home Economics club will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the home of Mrs. Ed Hayes. The election of officers, which is usually held the first meeting in November, has been post poned to the second meeting on Nov. 19. There will not be any business meeting at the Nov. 5 meeting, this will be a social evening with Dale Hoecker, county 4-H agent, showing slides and telling of the time he spent recently in Brazil setting up ex tension services there. Anyone in the community who would like to see and hear Hoecker will be welcomed, as this will be an open meeting. Refresh ments will be served at the close of the program.
