Cordes were hostesses.
Mrs. Zane Fleishman, presi
dent conducted a meeting when
plans were made to help serve
a city council dinner, to assist
with a Roaring Twenties party
in November and to arrange
the annual Elks Christmas party-

Yreka Lodge Sets
Membership Drive

lodge women made plans for a
membership drive at their re
cent meeting, the drive to con
tinue for the next six months.
A contest will be conducted, the
losing group to entertain the
winners.
Final plans also were made
for a trip by lodge members to
Dunsmuir. on October 23. The
members voted to attend as a
orouo a Rebekah meeting Uc-
tober 8 in Mount Shasta, when
the grand assembly president
was to make an official visit to
the Rebekah lodge there.
Church Women which will be
conducted November 1 in St.
Mark's Episcopal church. Mrs.
John Hall, Ascension Lutheran
church is chairman for the ob
servance and executive board
members met during the week
to formulate plans.
The day will begin at 11 a m.
with a business meeting; offi
cers will be elected for 1962 and
a United Nations report will be
made, women of the host
church will serve a potluck noon
luncheon tor all who attend
Ministers of the council and
their wives will be guests.
At 1 p. m., the program will
begin in the church sanctuary.
A guest speaker, and music will
be planned.

all classifications of schools and
organizations that are concerned

take a sample of crafts to share

A Security Benefit club mas
querade party and dance has
been announced for Friday, Oc
tober 18 in the Pythian build
ing. Dancing will be conducted
from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight and

Plan Autumn Meeting
The autumn meeting of Royal
Arch Widows will be held Tues
day, October 15, at the Jack
sonville Masonic temple. A pot-
luck dinner at 6:30 p.m. will
precede the meeting.
