And there are non-acid tomatoes for people with sensitive stomachs. A hybrid raspberry produces a large unusually sweet berry as large as your thumb in spring and fall. He also has a cross between a garlic and leek which produces a milder onion-type vegetable. The leek has five or six bulbs while the cross has only two large bulbs. faanto nas petite prunes, very smaii prunes, which have been growing 100 years or more in this country. Then there is the sweet date prune which shrinks less in the drying. He uses dry ing racks consisting of frames, which look like windows screens, laid on benches in the sun or has them in a closet-like arrange ment with a blower underneath. Thick grape vines, thick as a man's arm, carry half-breed mission and concord grapes around an unused garage on the 1.6 acres of the Santo property. This cross produces grapes which dangle in clusters two feet long. He also has red. while and blue plums. This is a cross he tweculhe cherry and plums.
