Hied China Kot Likely To Try War in Foreseeable Future LONDON (UPI)-Red China is not likely to try any armed aggression in the foreseeable fu ture despite its increasing isola tion, British experts on Com munist affairs said today. The experts said the Peking regime still is too weak mili tarily and economically to risk any major conflicts, particular ly with the United States. They pointed out the Peking's ideological and political quarrel with Moscow virtually ruled out Soviet help in the event of a war. The Chinese Reds have re jected the Soviet Union's polity of peaceful coexistence with the West and have denounced Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev for his peaceful overtures toward the United States. Peking's i more militant policy advocaU'i armed rebellion to spread Com munism and does not rule out Yliirri Proposes Safes Tax Study ONTARIO (UPI)-O r e g o n State Sen. Anthony Yturri (R Ontario) says he will propose that Idaho and Oregon tax au thorities and legislators meet to prepare sales tax legislation for introduction in 196S. Contract Awarded For Forest Road KLAMATH FALLS - The award of a contract for con struction of the Spencer Creek road has been announced by Forest Supervisor Alex Smith of Wincma National Forest. Stanley Wilt of Corvallis was awarded the contract on a bid of $262,728.67. The construction project calls for extension of the Spencer Creek road from the end of construction currently under way by Klamath county to a point on the Dead Indian highway south of Lake of the Woods. A total of 10.7 miles are involved in the current con tract. Completion of the road will make a portion of the fore.it accessible which has previously been served only by low stand ard rough roads. Initially, the route will serve primarily log haul, but eventually the route will undoubtedly become an im portant recreation loop, Smith said. nuclear war as a means of over coming capitalism. But an authoritative British assessment of latest develo; ments in the Sino-Soviet dispute indicated Red China is moving rapidly toward political, eco nomic and military isolation. The signs gathered by West ern observers on the spot are that the Peking regime is aware it cannot reckon on Russian assistance if it gets itself in ! volved in war. i Peking's current battle cries I were said by the experts to be prompted by its present weak ! ness rather than strength, i There has been growing specu lation Russia might renounce the 30-ycar treaty of friendship j and assistance concluded with Red China at the height of their 1 friendship in the 1950s. ! Red China was believed to j have been warned recently by j the Soviet it might find itself i involved in armed conflict with the United States and Britain if it starts an offensive against India. The United States and Brit ain currently are supplying arms to India for defense against China. The risk of direct armed in volvement with the United States was seen even greater in Formosa, were Peking to risk any ventures in that area, the assessment said. Henry Dcason, head of the police homicide squad, said that so far there had not been a solid lead to go on. The final "blanket search" in South Minneapolis was to be completed today by a force of 20 policemen and 20 FBI agents. The girls, Melissa Anna Lee, 5, and Barbara Foshaug, 4, were last seen playing in an alley behind their homes.
