MIZE Service lor Mrs. Mary K. "Mollie" Mize, who died Thu-sday night at her home on Evans Creek, will be held in the Hillcrest Memorial chapel Tuesday nt 2:30 p.m. with interment in the Hill crest Memorial park. Conger Morris is in charge ol ar ransements. Mrs. Mize was born in Green Co., Tcnn., Oct. 31, 3886. She had made her home in southern Oregon lor sev eral years. At Winnamucca, Nev., on June 7, 1945, she was married to O. M. "Hen ry" Mize, who survives. Also surviving are the children; Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Miller, Eureka Springs, Ark.; Mrs. John (Mablc) Rhodes, Wood ward, Iowa; Dean and Ann McNull, Woodward, Iowa; and Mrs. John (Maxiene) Crokcr, Marshalltown, Iowa. There are also eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Vance Hunt, Ivan Thompson, Carroll Thompson, Terry Thompson, Ed Bennett, Boyd Brunner. CLYDE W. HEBARD Yreka - Clyde William He bard, 7fi, Tctired Yreka police chief died Monday in Liver more, Calif., where he was visiting at the home of his nephew, Russell Shult. Mr. Hcbard, his wife, Mary, and son, James, had been visiting relatives in the Sacramento Valley and had attended the baseball game in San Francisco Monday aft ernoon. His passing was sud den and unexpected. Born at Unity, Wis., .on September 27, 1886, Mr. He bard moved to Hilt in 1926 where he operated a market for Fruit Growers Supply company for 10 years. In 1936 he moved to Yre ka and was appointed chief of police in February of 1941. He served in this capacity nearly 18 years until his re tirement five years ago. He was a life member of' the Siskiyou County P&ace Offi cers association, Mr. Hcbard served with 1he U.S. Army during World War I and was a member and Past Commander of Ross Ncilnn Post of the Ameri can Legion. He was active in community and fraternal af fairs and .war, a.Pijst. N,oMc Grand and a 48 year mem ber of the Odd Fellows; a member of the Encampment of Odd Fellows, Howard Lodge Nn. S7, Free and Ac cepted Masons, Cyrus Chap ter, Mount Shasta Command i ry, Ben AH Temple of the Shrine; Siskiyou County Shrine club; Past Patron of Stella Chapter, Order of East ern Star, Order of the Am aranth and the Modern Wood- men of America. Survivors include: Mrs. He bard, whom he married in Lady Smith, Wis., on Feb ruary 2, 1919; his son, James Hcbard, and daughter, Mrs. I'lorice Frank, both of Yre ka; a daughter, Mrs. Ila Bess Deter of Grenada; his step mother Mrs. Alice Hebard of Sheldon, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Shult of Sheldon, snd Mrs. Cloe Lopat of Port land; two brothers. Clarence o Milwaukee, Wis., and alph of South Gate, six grandchildren and three treat grandchildren. Services were held Thurs day at 2 p.m. in the Masonic Temple under the auspices of Howard Lodge assisted by 3!rv. Donald D. Donihue of the Methodist church. Mem bers of the Mount Shasta Commandcry Knight Tem plars tormed an honorary cs rnrl. Burial was in the Ever green cemetery. The Passionate Pilcrim" anrl "A Lover's Complaint," Mon day, Sept. 3, in the seventh and final lecture of the Trin ity Noon series of the Insti tute of Renaissance Studies. The lecture is to be at 12 noon, at the Trinitv Eniscnnal church, on Second St., direct ly across from the Ashland post office. Alexander, w h o directs "Love's Labour's Lost," is di rector of the Whitman Col lege Theatre in Walla Walla, Washington. Miss Huddle is featured as Mistress Ford in "The Merry Wives of Windsor," the Nurse in "Romeo and Juliet" and as Rosaline in "Love's La bour's Lost." This fall she will be at the Actors Work shop in San Francisco. The Trinity Noon Scries is sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi for the benefit of schol arship funds for the Oregon Shakespearean festival.
