This home originally ap
peared in this column as a
three bedroom design. It
proved to be one of our most
popular plans. We received
many requests for the same
basic design with four bed
rooms rather than three. Here
is the answer to these re
quests. You will want to study this
plan in detail as it offers
many of the design features
that most families find essen
tial and desirable for comfort
able and efficient living. The
home has been designed for
looks as well as livability
while the plan offers numer
ous highlights that turn a col
lection of rooms into a house
wife's delight.
The spacious formal living
room is well lighted and free
of cross traffic. Double sliding
doors open from the living
room to the dining room. Side
by side fireplaces open to both
the family and living rooms.
If preferred, one could be
eliminated during the con
struction of the home.

the rear of the house. This
guarantees well lighted rooms
and the opportunity for out
door living in privacy. For in
formal meals, a very large
nook area provides an ade
quate area to accomodate the
family plus guests.
The patio is so readily ac

many meals will be served
here throughout the year. A
floor to ceiling pantry adds to
the generous amount of cab

kitchen.
The master bedroom suite
features a private dressing

Motorists Asked To Use Caution
If last year is any indica
tion of what may happen to
Oregonians on the highways
over the Labor Day week end,
death or injury awaits more
than 200 people before the 78
hour period ends, Medford
Police Capt. Clyde Fichtner
warned today.
There were 220 people in
jured in 454 Oregon accidents
over the Labor Day holiday
last year, Fichtner said. Six
people were killed.
Safety officials at the local
and state level are urging
drivers to shield themselves
from traffic trouble as they
leave Friday or Saturday for
recreation areas around th
state.
Police agencies, at usual,
will operate at full patrol
strength giving special em
phasis to violations known to
contribute to accidents, Ficht
ner said.
Traffic deaths in Oregon
are running 22.1 per cent
ahead of last year. Fichtner
contended that many of these
deaths could have been pre
vented by exercise of common
sense and courtesy behind the
wheel.
