' Ascension Lutheran On Summer Schedule The men of Ascension Luth eran church will meet early Saturday morning at the church for a work-day. Plans are to paint the church ex tcrior and the narthex, and to do general yard clean up. Men are asked to bring paint brushes, palls and other tools needed. Donald Krug will speak on the subject, "Foolish Busi ness," on Sunday, August 4 at the Central Point Presbyter ian church. Dr. Krug was in stalled as the new pastor last week in ceremonies conducted by the Rev. Foursquare Church Schedules Speaker Dr. Charles Tate, professor of L.I.F.E. Chaffer Presentation To Be in September Gold Hill The Rev. Elvina Colburn, pastor of Concord Spiritualist chapel announced that the presentation of the charter will take place in Sep tember, the date to be set as near as possible to the open ing date of the chapel one year ago September 26. Davidson, pastor of the Medford branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, together-with priest hood members, will leave this week- end for a th,ree day Southern Oregon- District Men's Retreat, at Rujada Forest Camp. Life of Apostle Will Be Subject Jacksonville A special program for the First Presby terian church for the church school's upstairs department has been planned during the month of August. Each Sun day a motion picture will be shown on a different phase of the life of the Apostle Paul. The first film covers the per iod of this life during which he was converted. The Sacrament of Infant Baptism will be administered during the worship service at 11 a.m. The Rev. King K. Jones, pastor of the church, will continue his series of ser mons on the Lord's Prayer. His subject is "Lead Us . . . Deliver Us." The guest soloist during the worship hour will be Miss Christine Helman.
