College Girls Trio
To Give Concert
The Waldorf College Girls
Trio of Forest City, Iowa, will
present a concert of sacred
music in Ascension Lutheran
church, 2617 Barnett rd., on
Tuesday, July 30, at 8 p. m.
Though organized as a trio
for three years, this is the
first time they have gone on
tour. Their schedule will in
clude 60 concerts In a two
month period and will include
eleven Midwestern and West
ern states.
Members of the trio are

Osnes, Forest City, Iowa. The
concert will include vocal
trios, duets and solos, plus
piano and trumpet solos. The

Youth Caravaners
Ashland Guests
Ashland - A team of three
teen-agers, called Youth
Caravaners, will be the guests
of Grace Lutheran church,
Ashland, July 30 to Aug. 2.
The three Caravaners are trav
eling for the Walther League,
International youth organiza
tion and official youth pro
gram of the Lutheran Church
Missouri Synod.
The Caravan team is com
posed of Marilyn Fritz, God
frey, 111.; Delene Jensen, Salt
Lake City, and Paul Nordeen
of St. Paul, Minn. The team is
designed to assist local Lu
theran congregations with
their youth program. These
young people were chosen
from many applicants, be
cause of their work with
young people in their own con
gregations and areas.
The Caravaners will assist
the youth in devotional serv
ices, topic discussions, service
projects, recreational and fel
lowship sessions. The five-
point program of the Walther
League - worship, education,
fellowship, service and recrea
tion will be explained to the
youth, their parents, coun
selors, and other adults of
Grace Lutheran church.
While the Caravaners are
guests of Grace Lutheran
church, they will meet with
Walther League officers, with
counselors, with all the young
people of the congregation
and with adult members of the
congregation. It is also
planned that they be shown
the city of Ashland and attend
one of the Shakespeare plays.

evangelistic meetings in the
evening. Mr. Carver was a
member of the ministers'
teaching staff and his subjects
included "Justification b y
Faith" and "Pure Religion."
