A nominal fee will be -charged and everyone must be costumed to get in. Former Minister Here to Speak The Rev. Wolford Dawes, former pastor of the First Baptist church, will speak Sunday at both services of the church. He served the church for some 19 years be fore going to Redmond, Ore., - in 1959. He is now retired and lives in Ashland. - The Rev. Bernard E. An drews, pastor of the First 'Baptist church, is on .vacation this week. Music for the service will be provided by the chapel 'choir and the Rev. Byron Evans will be soloist, tinging "The Sands of Tune." . Services are continuing for another week or two at the Wilson school, Grand and Corona aves. Sunday school is held at 9:40 a.m. and youth groups at 6:30 p.m. - Sunday at 7:30 p. m. ROLLO DUNHAM Gut Minister Campmeefing To Begin Sunday For Nazarenes The Oregon Pacific Dis trict Church of the Nazarene begins its annual campmeet- ing Sunday at the district campgrounds in Clackamas, Ore. A number of the local mem bers will attend these meet ings which close Sunday, July 28. Speakers for these serv ices will be the Rev. Paul Martin and the Rev. Ted Martin, In charge of the mu sic for the camp will be War nie Tippitt, who is a music in structor at Northwest Naz arene college, Nampa, Idaho. The Rev. Harold M. San- ner, pastor of the local First Church of the Nazarene, 320 North Holly St., will speak Sunday in the 11 a.m. service on ' the subject, "A Strong Church." Music for this ser vice, as announced by Perry Christiansen, minister of mu sic and education, will be the sanctuary choir singing "Hea venly Father, King Eternal," and a tenor solo by Dean von Stein. During the 7 p.m. service music will be provided by a trio composed of Ruth Stichl, Mrs. Rex Goblc, and Mrs. Jerry Anderson, a vocal solo by Elwin Paulson, and a trumpet trio by Bob Hansen, Harold Sanner Jr., and Ruth Stichl. L. Rudy was re elected for his third term as president of the Oregon Con ference of Seventh - day Ad ventists at their biennial busi ness meeting, attended by pas tors and official delegates of the conference's 102 churches last week near Portland. The session, which began July 10 marked the beginning of the annual compmeeting which is attended by church members from the entire con ference, many of the mem bers occupying the 1,400 tents and 400 cabins on the grounds. Attendance averages from 5.000 to 8,000 during the week, and swells to 17,000 to 18,000 on the week ends. The meeting this year Is e 39th biennial business meeting, and the 85th annual campmeeting In Oregon. The first meeting was held in 1878 near Salem. At that time 17 tents were erected and the first offering taken for foreign misions was taken at this meeting. The first offer ing amounted to $20. For the first quarter of 1963 foreign mission offerings in the Ore gon conference totalled $243,- 000. Speaker! Noted The Oregon campmeeting Is attended by conference of ficials from the denomina tion's headquarters in Wash ington, D.C., and missionaries from the world field. The Voice of Prophecy ra dio group, which broadcasts over 1,000 stations through out the world were featured on Wednesday and Thursday. LENORE HANKS Sunday Evening Speaker Lesson, Lecture Scheduled Sunday "Life" will be the subject of the Bible lesson Sunday at First Church of Christ, Scien tist, 100 Windsor ave., at 11 a.m. At 8 p.m. Sunday Mrs. Lenore D. Hanks, Portland, a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, will give a public talk on "Do You Know Who You Really Are?" Mrs. Hanks was appointed to the board of lectureship earlier this year. The theme of her talk will be man's dis covery of his spiritual iden tity under God. During the morning lesson the theme of God as eternal life will be emphasized. The text will be from Psalm 42:8. Young people up to the age of 20 are invited to attend Sunday school. All are invited to the services. Unity Lesson Topic Announced "All Powerful Name" is the subject of the lesson scheduled by the Rev. Pastor IWIIGART Ph. 779-1047 'Youth Venture' Group to Be Here From Sacramento A contingent of 40 teenage boys and girls, together with their adult leaders, plan to come from the Sacramento district of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Lat ter Day Saints to Medford for their "Youth Venture" - week spent in work and sup port of the program of the lo cal congregation. This is an annual project of the youth, who spend three months or more in qualifying through study and testing then travel to a particular community for their work Director of the "Youth Ven ture" is Larry Nelson, Sacra mento architectural draftsman and youth leader of the Ar cade congregation of i the church. The ministerial ad visor and preacher is Elder Warren H. Chelline, church missionary, who will be guest minister at the local church next week. Program director is Leroy Burdick, a parole of ficer with the California State Youth authority; business manager is Frank Tucker, U. S. Forest service ranger. Activities Her The participating youth will spend their days here in study, worship, service projects, can vassing, recreation, and other similar activities. The local pastor is Elder Harley David son. Elder Chelline is a high priest with 20 years' exper ience as a full time mission ary, pastor, and church ad ministrator, having served the church in his native New Eng land, Canada and throughout the Midwest , southern and western states. Currently he travels throughout Nevada and California in the interest Pastor Returns From Vacation The Rev. G. O. Skaar, pas tor of First Southern Baptist church, and his family have returned from their vacation. He will conduct both services at the church Sunday. Igo will be the guest preacher at St. Luke's Meth odist church Sunday. His topic will be "A Cup of Cold Water," based on Mark 9:33 41. Mr. Igo is the Methodist Youth Fellowship counselor for the Rogue sub-district. He is chairman of the Indian Springs Methodist camp grounds and he serves on the camp commission of the Ore gon Annual Conference of the Methodist Church. He is a member of First Methodist church of Medford. St. Luke's Methodist church is located at 2320 Siskiyou blvd. During the summer. Sunday worship is held at 9 a. m. The Rev. Charles R. Mc Donald is pastor of the church. Ralph Humphrey is organist. Mr. Igo will preach in the absence of Mr. McDonald, who will be directing a Jun- camp at the Indian Springs campgrounds. CHELLINE Church Missionary Service Times At 1st Christian Change Sunday After the first services in their new building the First Christian church has found it necessary to make a slight change in the schedule of the worship services. Both tne church services and church school will now be at 9:30 and 11 a.m. The Rev. Wendell Wagler, assistant minister, will preach on the subject "The Great Be longing." Mr. Wagler is leav ing the end of this month for Enid, Okla. where he will do graduate work at Phillips uni versity. There will be an open house Sunday at the church parlor from 2:30 to 5 p.m. honoring Mr. and Mrs. Wag ler and their young son, Wayne. At the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday the Carillon choir will sing "The Lord is My Shepherd." The chancel choir will sing an arrangement by Mr. Wangler of the spiritual Go Down Moses. The Chi Rho fellowship will meet at 6 p.m. to plan their program for the next six months. Monday morning several of their group will go to church camp at Little River Christian camp. Donald Krug will be officially installed as pastor of the Cen tral Point Presbyterian church Friday, July 26. The service is under the direction of the Presbytery of South west Oregon. Among those participating will be the Rev. King Jones, Jacksonville; the Rev. Wil liam Saladin, Phoenix, tha Rev. John Reynolds, Medford; Dr. D. K. West, Medford; tha Rev, B. J. Holland, Ashland; and the Rev. Robert Bridge, Medford. The installation service will begin at 8 p.m. and will be followed by a reception and informal fellowship in tha church basement. Prior to coming to Central Point, Dr. Krug served as pastor of the First Presby terian church, Quilcene, Wash., and as minister of visitation, Westminster Pres byterian church, Sacramento, Calif. He received his bach elor of arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, his bachelor of di vinity from the San Francisco Theological seminary and his doctorate in theology from the same seminary in 1963. He will preach the sermon 'Strange New Dimension'' in the Sunday morning worship service. The choir will sing the anthem "In the Quiet ness". Sunday the youth group will meet at the church at 3:30 p.m. for a swim and pic nic in place of its usual even ing meeting. SUNDAY SERVICES Mr. Jean M.
