Skelion's Daughter
Hurt in Accident
Palm Springs, Calif. -u-Comedian
Red Skeltons 17-year-old
daughter. Valentina
was treated at Desert hospital
Sunday for bruises suffered in
a motor scooter accident.
Investigating officers said
the Skelton girl's scooter spun
out of control on East Palm
Canyon Drive in this desert
resort.
She and George Hicks II,
also 17, were riding their
scooters when Miss Skelton's
vehicle struck some new pav
ing and went end-over-end
and skidded some 80 feet.
Miss Skelton was not hurt
seriously.

The association went on
record opposing any legisla
tion which would provide
high support prices for wheat
unless it makes special provi
sion for feed wheat prices in

Tragedy Strikes
For Third Time

Bulson, 20, this week
end became the third child
of Mr, and Mrs. Purl Butson
to die accidentally within 18
months.
She died of head injuries
suffered Thursday when the
horse she was riding bolted
and crashed into a car. Her
sister, Diane, 8, was killed
June 11 in a fall from a hay
loft and a brother, Melvin,
died in a traffic accident in
December, 1961.
1. All of the farmers who
now grow tobacco would con
vert their acreage to wheat,
corn and cotton. This would
greatly aggravate the surplus
problem and cause .he Secre
tary of Agriculture to shoot
himself.
Seeking a scientific solu
tion, the government would
