Chaplin Mrs. Paul naHn gave a lecture program, fol lowed by a lather's day pro gram put on by Mrs. Evelyn Hendrix and the women of the Orange. The next meeting will be held June 21. The lecture pro gram will include colored sides taken by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pfnister on their trip to Europe. 4-H NEWS Eagle Point Sewettes The last meeting of the Eaele Point Sewpttp 4.H club was held at the home of ila Moore recently. Mrs. Ben Moore aided the eirla with thpir nrnippts nnrf plans were discussed for the i-n ciub summer camp which will be held at Howard Prairie, July 16-19. Lorraine Hamann, Reporter Snappy Cooks The last meeting of the Snappy Cooks 4-H club was held recently with Gail Glass leading the 4-H pledge and Diana Craven leading the pledge of allegiance. Plans for a slumber party and the pre-fair were dis cussed. It was decided to hold future meetings at 7:30 p.m. Members responded to roll call by naming a food that began with the same letter as their name. Two members at the meet ing were Debbie and Lorenia Zustpann. At the close of the meeting Kathy Ross demonstrated the making of a vegetable salad. Corianne Florey, Reporter Busy Stitchers The Busy Stitchers 4-H club had a meeting recently at Debra DeRoboam's home. People who attended were Debra DeRoboam, Kathy Ku charek, Sandra Chancier, Darilyn DeLand, the leader. Mrs. C. L. Chancier, and my self, Sharon Ladd. The meeting was opened by the president, then the roll was called, followed by min utes of last meeting. Dis cussed was whelh' : we were going to put a float in the Rooster Crow and we also de cided to make a quilt for a worthy cause. After the meeting was over, we had refreshments. Then we all went swimming. Sharon Ladd, Reporter FRIDAY. JUNE 21. 1963 A 3 Saucy Sewtrs The Saucy Sewers 4-H club met at the home of Carol Kagy recently. The discussion was about animal judging and the fair. We all worked on our scarfs. Plans for home economics pre-fair and 4-H camp were made at the meeting of the club at a recent meeting at Karen Chipman's home. We spent the afternoon working on our head scarfs that are to be finished by June 25. The club will attend pre fair June 26. Burglary Cases Are Cleared With Arrests Several burglary cases in the county were cleared with the nrrret of two Ashland boys, one 16 and one 17 years- old, by Jackson county snrr Uf's deputies Wednesday.
