Announced
Southern Oregon Kennel
club has planned it's first
"fun show" for Sunday, May
19, in the auditorium at the
Josephine county fairgrounds
in Grants Pass. Entries have
been received from Roseburg,
Eugene, Portland, Ashland,
Grants Pass, Medford and sev
eral northern California cities.
Entries will be accepted
until 12 noon, and Judging
will begin at 1 p.m. It is ex
plained that this type of un
official show is held primar
ily to train animals and their
handlers in show techniques
which are necessary for the
large, official shows.
For the benefit of persons
unfamiliar with this type of
show, arrangements have
been made to have a com
mentator accompany the
judges as each Individual ani
mal is examined and observ
ed. The commentator will ex
plain the various types and
characteristics associated witn
each.
