Eugene Kelty of the Oregon Hotel and Motel association said there has been "extreme overbuilding" in the business Keith Cobo, Klamath Falls chairman of the association's legislative committee, said "we should bo good hosts and not tax collectors." House Tax Committee Chairman Richard Eymann (D-Marcola) said the hotel motel tax was proposed be cause many people felt tour ists were getting a "free riue" on taxes. The committee took no action on the bill.
