By HIAWATHA ESTES One of the most difficult assignments is to design a well planned home which in corporates a majority of to days most desired features nd which can be built on a 80 foot lot. Here is a plan which meets these require ments. Traffic is channeled from the entry to every area of the house. A partial wall with turned posts above separate the entry from the family room. Open planning can double your living areas both visual ly and physically. Open plan ning will give your family a freedom of movement and the much sought after sense of spaciousness. This is why only cabinets have been used to separate the generous size family room and kitchen. Family meals can be informal ly served at the long eating bar. All cabinets and applianc es which would obstruct the view-broom and pantry clos ets, oven and refrigerator -arc located along one wall. The family room servn many purposes. It can be used as a rainy day play area, a room for the pursuit of hobbies or as a television room. Large Room One of the outstanding fea tures of this home is the huge living room and dining area. Instead of forming the usual dining ell, we have malnlain ed the same room width throughout, A wide fireplace faces the sliding glass doors to the private patio. Similar doors open from the master bedroom and let in the ever changing outdoors and sun shine. A shoulder high win dow has been placed in the end wall next to the dining area. Wardrobes with drawers below and the usual pule and shelf above serve all bed rooms. Two of these rooms will accommodate twin beds. The luxurious master bed room suite has a private dress ing area and bath. The wood roofing, used brick veneer and planters. wood double hung windows nd the wood siding all com pliment each other. Most garages located at the front of the home are eyespres rather than eyecatchcrs. This garage definitely belongs to the latter group. A tapered barge board outlines the gable of the garage where horizon tal siding visually decreases the garage height. The gable wall projects past the wall of the garage. The low sweeping garage roof lines have been achieved by extending a por tion of tile roof over a planter at the side of the garage.
