Five Chapters to Mark
Founding of Sorority
The thirty-second anniver
sary of the founding of Beta
Sigma Phi sorority will be
observed April by the five
local chapters which make up
the Medford city council of
the porroity. A banquet will
be served at 7 pjm in North's
Chuck Wagon restaurant ban
quct room and members from
the five chapters will partici
pate. Reservations should be
made with each chapter presi
dent. The first chapter of the so
rority wis formed In Abilene,
Kan. There now are 7,000
chapters and 150,000 mem
bers in 14 countries.

Miss Neilson is a daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Neil

and Mr. Aker is a son of John
Aker, Pittsburgh, Pa., and the
late Mrs. Aker.
Both the bride-elect and
her fiance attended San Jose
State college and the bride
elect is a graduate of Stephens
college, Columbia, Mo. She
holds a bachelor of arts de
gree from San Jose Stale col
lege and the past year did
graduate work there to re
ceive her teaching degree.
The bridegroom-elect, who
has attended Michigan State
university obtained his degree
in criminology in February at
San Jose State college and
also will teach.
Mr. Aker is a houseguest
at the Neilson home and out
of town guests for the wed
