if Germany is on your itiner
ary this year.
Forget your caloric counts
when you come here. Ger
mans are perhaps the world's
heartiest eaters. Calorie count
ers get short shrift and the
baleful eye.
And it helps if you like
pork, pork runs through the
Teutonic menu from soup to
dessert. In Germany all little
piggies go to market - and
wind up on the table.
In your soup you are apt
to find a juicy pig's foot sunk
in a bowlful so huge that any
one but a German would call
it a complete meal. And for
dessert there are chocolate,
cakes and cherry tarts and
vanilla ice cream blobs all. The payoff, though, is the

J. Helwig, a Radio Corpora
tion of America electronics
engineer. His audience was a
group of science students at
Eramus Hall High school in
Brooklyn.
Helwig is one of 14 RCA
