OlttGON 85th Birthday Is Celebrated At Neff Home An afternoon party April 8 honored Mrs. Bert Francis (Gertrude) Nett on the occa sion of her eighty-fifth birth day. The event was held in the home of son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Asher Neff, 2172 West Main street, where the honored guest also lives. Four genera tions of the Neff family at tended. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ray Robinson, Grants Pass, a granddaughter of Mrs. Neff, Miss Nancy Robinson, a great granddaughter; and Mrs. Robert James, Medford. Mrs. Robinson played violin selections and sang, accom panied by Mrs. James at the organ, and by MIsb Robinson, playing the flute. Among the guests present were Mrs. Neff's grandons, Raymond Neff and Stanley Neff, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Asher Neff. Others attending were Mrs. Maud Simmons, and her daughter, Mrs. Haywood Lcmley, Ashland; Mrs. Delia Whetstone, Mrs. Amy Randle, Mrs. Bessie Myers, Mrs. Hen ry Childreth, Mrs. Charlotte Kinder. Mrs. William Ko epke, Mrs. Hilda Hague, Mrs. Emli Peterson, Mrs. Jack Lichtenstern, Mrs. Teresa Hi anchl, Mrs. Dora Brantley, Mrs. Elvla Wood, Mrs. Her man Ekerson, Mrs. Lester Wilcox, Mrs. Ralph Wilder, Mrs. Ethel VanCleave, Mrs. Charles Ghelardl, Mrs. Opal Curdl. Mrs. Leonard Stener ion and Mrs. Fred Landers. Receives Gifts Refreshments were served and the honored guest was presented gifts which includ ed a New Testament from the First Baptist Sunday school. Mrs. Gertrude Neff was born April 7, 1B78 In La Sueur, Minn., and was mar ried to the late Mr. Neff in Minneapolis, Minn. They came to Medford In 1917, and Mr. Neff was a mail carrier with the Medford post office from 1823 until he was re tired in July, 1041. Mrs. Neff, as a young wom an, did missionary work' in this country for about five years, ond she is a longtime member of the Medford First LaiflLLv M CALENDAR.. Mrs. Bert Francis Naff was honored April t at a party which celebrated her 15th birthday anniversary. Mrs. Naff has lived in Medford sine 1817.
