The Applegate Vegetable
4-H Garden club met recent
ly at the Lester Hill home.

We discussed a name for the
new graden club, but didn't
decide on any, and everyone
is to come with an idea for
a name next meeting.
Wesely Hill showed us some
popcorn the Hills had raised
last year. He showed us how
to shell It and then he popped
it and we had it with our re
freshments which was served
by Mrs. Hill.
The next meeting will be
at Danny Christensen's home
on April 10 at 7:30 p.m. and
a film "Grow Your Own"
will be shown. This film will
show the essentials of good

In Bullet Wound

Bislg, 31, was listed in critical
condition today from a bullet
wound in the neck suffered
during an argument at Rufus,
30 miles east of here, Tues
day. Sherman County Sheriff
Leo Roberts said Bisig was
shot during an argument with
Dolphus Baker, 48, Rufus, in
front of Baker's garage. Bak
er told the sheriff the shoot
ing was in self defense. No
charge was filed.
