Seals, One Down Against Bucks, Try Again Tonight Portland - HFl1 - Bud fouc s seven straight at Portland, and just hopes to prevent the hex from going to eight. San Francisco Seals, dumped 6-3 by Portland Sunday night, will try to even their best-of-seven series Tuesday j night. The two teams are vying for the Southern Division championship. San Francisco was boiling j mad after the first contest. Trailing 4-2 in the final peri-1 od, the Seals twice had goals I disallowed. Poile himself seemed less inclined to blame the refs than did his squad members. "Our defense was very bad except for Larry McNabb and Camille Bedard," he said. "Also it W'as ironic that the bucks seemed to score just after the Seals missed. Or land Kurtenbach hit the Buckaroo post on one shot and Portland scored right after and the same thing happened after Ed Panagabko missed one." Player, the small pro from South Africa, finished fifth at the Masters and earned $4,000 for four days work. He fin ished first here Monday and picked up a check for $1,200 - a rate of $200 per day better than his Masters pay.
