Grange met recently for a Dot-
luck dinner. A short business
meeting followed, with Master
Harold Van Hoy presiding.
New members voted into
membership were Mr. and
Mrs. P. L. Dodd and Hilda
Crowell. Esther Fabric spoke
about the cancer dinner which
will be March 30.
Van Hoy commended the
members for their interest in
the visitation project. The
forthcoming visitation March
14 at Live Oak Grange was
discussed, and plans were
made to care for the visitors.
The lecturer, Irene Cassiriy,
presented a program of col
ored slides of Alaska. They
were shown by Bill Green,
with a commentary by Mrs.
Green. The Greens formerly
lived In Sitka, Alaska.

Oregonian pressroom Tuesday
afternoon caused the Oregon
ian's first afternoon edition

A spokesman for the paper
said there was very little fire
damage, but the heat set off
a sprinkler system which
doused rolls of paper and the
presses. He said damage was
estimated at $1900 because
cf water.
The fire started in the bulb.

for about 33 minutes while
workers cleaned them to pre
vent wiring and motor dam
