When Hit By Car

injured when hit by a car
at Beatty st. and Central ave.
Friday afternoon, Medford
police reported.
A car driven by Wayna
Faye Fawcett, 2118 Corona
ave., Medford, was driving
southwest on Beatty st. She
stopped at the stop sign at
the North Central ave. inter
section, looked to the right
at the heavy traffic, started
to pull out and stopped again
and checked the traffic, she
told city police.
The driver saw the pedes
trian on the corner, and drove
into the intersection, passing
the crosswalk area. Then she
saw the pedestrian in front of
her car. She bumped the wom
an and knocked her down
after braking to a stop.
Mrs. Morton refused treat
ment and was taken home by
her brother. No citations were
issued.
