Wation (Landif photo) Watson-Shore Ceremony Held in Meeker Chapel a peacock blue wool suit with black and while accessories. The couple is living at 2478 Stearns way in Medford. The bride and bridegroom attended Medford High school and the bride is employed in the Medford branch, First Na tional Bank of Oregon, as a stenographer. The bride- groom also attended Univer sity of Oregon and is man ager of the Equitable Savings and Loan association. 1 Miss Donna L. Shore be- came the bride of Rollin D. Watson January 19 in 2 o'clock afternoon rites read in the Meeker chapel of First Methodist church. The Rev. George Roseberry performed the ceremony in the presence of about 50 guests. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd J. Shore, 1309 Locust avenue, Medford. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Helen F. Watson, 617 Catherine street, Medford. Mrs. Keith Edlefsen, Port land, was matron of honor and Lee Niedcnneyer was best man. Ushers were Carl Kellenberger and Harry El more. . Mr. Shore gave his daugh ter in marriage. For her wedding the bride chose a street length satin gown with . elbow length sleeves and a matching satin overskirt with bow at the front waistline. She carried a bouquet of while carna tions with stephanotis. Her shoulder length veil was held by a crown. ' Mrs. Edlefsen's frock was of emerald green satin with bell skirt and she wore a matching hat. Her flowers were pink chrysanthemums. White chrysanthemums with stock decorated the chapel. Michael Johnson furnished the wedding songs and Mrs. Leslie C. Boardman was the organist. The reception was given by the bride's parents at 1059 Morrow road. They were as sisted by Mrs. Elmore. Mrs. Kellenberger poured punch and Mrs. Robert Shores cut and served the cake. Mrs. Niedermeyer poured coffee and Mrs. R. A. Schmidt had charge of the guest book. White chrysan themums and stock decorated the reception room. The couple made their wed ding trip to northern Oregon. For traveling the bride wore Cooking School Scheduled Jackson County CowBelles will conduct an annual beef cooking school Wednesday, January 30 at 1:30 p.m., in the county extension auditor ium at the county fair grounds south of Medford. All interested women are invited to attend. Recipes used during the school will be given those who attend. Mrs. Beverly Lyons, home economist for Pacific Power and Light company will con duct the school. Her theme will be "Around the World With an Oregon Pot Roast Prizes will be awarded and refreshments served. Mrs. Richard Hen is the cooking school chairman and Mrs. Rolland Smith is chair man of the beef promotion program for the group. Mrs. William Bigham is president of the organization. Return Mr. and Mrs. Fred Myers and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Myers returned to Medford last week after spending two months in Palm Springs, Calif. The Charles Myers also visited their two daughters and families, including their two great grand children. Justice Reads Rites For Couple Nancy Ann Adams and Les- tcr Milton Pate Jr., were mar ried In 6 o'clock evening rites read January 19 by Mrs. Frances I. Gallatin, Ashland justice of peace. The ceremony was held in the Gallatin home in Ashland. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton E. Gearey, 3853 South Pa cific highway, Medford, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lester M. Pate of Bel Air Trailer park. The couple was attended by the bride's mother and her aunt, Mrs. Vincent Horton. For her marriage the bride wore a winter white chiffon frock with full skirt. Her lace stole and hat were in match ing winter white and her cor sage was of gardenias. Mrs. Geary wore a red full skirted dress and her corsage was of red roses. Mrs. Hor ton was dressed in a yellow sheath frock with jacket and her corsage was of yellow roses. The bride attended Medford schools and the bridegroom received his education in Mississippi. He is employed in the City sanitation service. The couple is living at 3653 South Pacific highway, Medford. Newlyweds Living Here Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Glanty Thomas are making their home at 113 Laurel street, Medford, following their re turn from Reno, Nevada, where they were married in the Park Wedding chapel. The bride, the former Cyn- thia Lee Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Card' ner, 1948 Grandview avenue is a ward clerk at Rogue Val ley hospital. Mr. Thomas, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thomas, 170 Sherman street, Ashland, is in the engineering- depart ment of the U.S. Forest serv ice in Ashland. For the December 19 wed ding the bride wore a white nylon and lace frock with short veil. Her flowers were pink roses. Following their return the newlywed couple was honored at a reception at the Gardner home in Medford. The Rev. William Harring officiated at the 3:50 o'clock rites. The bride is a graduate of Phoenix High school and Mr. Thomas attended Ashland High school. 1 March Wedding Rites Planned Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Kelly, Route 4, Box 399-D, Medford, announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter. Miss Janet Rae Kelly, to Howard Lee Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll E. Brown, 2742 Griffin Creek road. Both are students at Southern Oregon college, Miss Wilson majoring in ele mentary education and her fiance in business administra tion. Both are 1962 graduates of Crater High school. Miss Wilson is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Wilson, 3045 Table Rock road, and the bridegroom elect is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris L. Frink, 3067 Linden lane. Central Point. No wedding date has been set Student Spends Vacation Here; Named to Board Miss Kathleen Allen, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Al len Jr., 48 Windsor ave., is at home for a week between semesters at Marylhurst col lege, where she is a freshman. Miss Allen was recently elected freshman representa tive on the college Student- Faculty-Administration board comprised of representatives of the three groups, set up to discuss and take action on matters of mutual concern. Dennings Make Home In Eugene Cave Junction Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Eugene Denning are making their home at 430 East Twentieth street, Eugene, following their return from a wedding trip to Canada. The bride is the former La- vern Alsup, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Billie Alsup, Drain The bridegroom's parents are the Rev. and Mrs, Gene Den ning, Cave Junction. The wedding was held in Harlow chapel at First Bap tist church in Eugene with the bridegroom's father of ficiating. Red and white car nations decorated the chapel for the double ring rites held at 6 o clock in the evening, The bride, given in mar riage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white satin fashioned with fitted Basque bodice, scoop neck line, long sleeves and em broidered appliques on the skirt and train. Her shoulder length veil was of tiers of white net and held by a pearl crown. Her flowers were red roses. Sister Attends Attending the bride were Miss Dorothy Alsup, her sis ter; Miss Patricia Rodyler, Mrs. Donald Dealy, all Drain, and Miss Elizabeth Denning, Cave Junction, sister of the bridegroom. They wore em erald green frocks and car ried white carnations. Golden- penny, 15 Vancouver avenue, Medford. Miss Ticknor attended Ore gon State university. Since her recent return from the Hawaiian islands she has been employed at Buttcville Insurance company in Wood-burn. Her fiance is a Willamette university graduate and is af filiated with Phi Delta Thela fraternity. He is director of vocal music in Woodburn Junior and Senior High schools. Mrs. Lloyd Hamlin will be the hostess. Bridge, canasta and pinochle will be played. At a recent meeting plans were made for an annual Val entine party, to be held Mon day, February 11 in the temple. A covered dish din ner at 6:30 p.m., will pre cede the program. Pamela Adele Vanderlip Vanderlips Tell Betrothal News Ashland - Mr. and Mrs. James P. Vanderlip, 235 Hill crest street, Ashland, an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Pamela Adele, to James David Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Hamilton, 144 Fourth street, Ashland. Both are 1962 graduates of Ashland High school. Miss Vanderlip is a student at Southern Oregon college. Mr, Hamilton will attend Oregon Technical Institute in the fall. No date has been set for the wedding. Great Decisions Kits Available Great Decisions 1963 fact sheet kits now are available at the Medford and Ashland Public libraries, according to an announcement made today by John W. McLoughlin, county extension agent. The program will begin the week of February 3 with discussion on the Common Market. Each discussion group chairman should collect the opinion ballots at the close of each group discussion and tabulate the results on one ballot, according to the an nouncement. The bride-elect Is a daughter of Mrs. Clemens Hayes, Tilla mook, and the late Dr. Hayes. Mr. Pasic is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Miodrag Pasic of Beograd, Yugo slavia. He makes his home with Mr. and Mrs. H. Chandler Drew, Dry Creek road, Medford, who sponsored him in this country five years ago. - Miss Hayes is a 1959 gradu- te of Tillamook High school nd attended the University of Oregon for two years. She is affiliated with Kappa Kap pa Gamma sorority. She now is in her second year of train ing in the University of Ore gon school of nursing, Port land, and' is to graduate in 1964. Her fiance attended the University of Beograd for three years, and received a bachelor of science degree from Southern Oregon col lege. The group will make molds for glass modeling. The Great Decisions group for couples will meet Friday, February 8, at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Bruce Nelson, 1288 Corona avenue.
