Mrs. Wilkes indicated that there is a great need in the area for information regard ing life jacket use for chil dren. Families who have boats or who spend the summer months around the various lakes and rivers in the com munity should give their youngsters an opportunity to become adjusted to their jackets before an actual emergency exists. A child fall ing into the water is very apt to land face down and, unless he or she knows how to maneuver, could drown de spite the supposed life saving device being worn. Women are invited to bring their pre-school children, life jackets, and swim suits to this session. Following the demon stration there will be a free swim period riming which mothers may practice tha techniques shown by Mrs. Wilkes. GLASSES ON CREDIT! iJ.r.
