Ore., were married in double ring rites December 31 in the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Robertson, Route 1, Box 598, 1 tagie j-omt. The bride is a daughter of j Mr. and Mrs. Dan Miller, also .Amity. The Rev. D. E. Millard per- iormea the ceremony at 7:30 o'clock in the evening. About .tv guests attended. For her wedding the bride wore a dove grey flowered ' silk gown with black acces-1 series and her corsage was J ot pink carnations. Mrs. Charles Z. Denney, a I sister of the bridegroom, was ' me bride s attendant and I Mr. Denney was best man for I his brother-in-law. Mrs. Denney wore a laven der wool afternoon dress with white accessories. A reception was held after I the ceremony. Mrs. Lee Da- j I mon, another sister of the bridegroom served the wed-! I ding cake and punch was;! poured by Mrs. Philip Hanna- ford, an aunt of the bride groom. She i attended Amity schools. ;New Study Series! jTo Start Tuesday ; "The Rim of East Asia" is Ahe new study series to begin iTuesday, January 8, for the ."Women's Fellowship of the Tirst Christian church, The executive meeting will e at 9 a.m. with the general "business meeting at 10 a.m. ; Mrs. Herbert Sims, Mrs. iC. D. Hershiser, Mrs. W. H. aioll, Mrs. W. N. Troxell will ;take part in the study for the program beginning at 11 a.m. .The countries represented in this series of studies are, Oki nawa, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Mrs. George Brcece 'will show slides of Hong liong taken when they visit 'ed there. Mrs. Ralph Matlack will sing a solo. Mrs. Jack Huston is in charge of the worship. '- The luncheons that h3ve been cancelled for the past six months will resume this month. Book on Prayer To Be Reviewed Gold Hill-The study book entitled "Dimensions of Pray er" will be reviewed by Mrs. Albert Gascon and Mrs. Mel vin Burnett during the next meeting of the Woman's society of Gold Hill com munity Methodist church. Mrs. J. G. Kofahl will be hostess in her home on High way 99 north, Wednesday, January 9. A dessert luncheon will be served-at 12:30 p. m. and the business session will be held at 1 p. m. Mrs. E. C. Hoffman will be cohostcss. The December meeting was held in the home of Mrs. Carl Johnson. Mrs. Raymond Ritter assisted with luncheon. Mrs. Hoffman, vice president, pre-; sided in the absence of Mrs. : Roy Eskew, president. - Members were reminded that the individual projects program closes in January and all receipts should be turned in by the January 9 meeting. Mrs. Lochlon L. Gregory and Mrs. Paul Molloy gave the program. j Math Student is Selected j James L. Shinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Shinn, 47 Western avenue, has been se lected to speak betore a sec lion meeting of th National Council of Mathematic Teach ers next summer at the Uni versity of Oregon. He now is studying loward his master's degree at Cornell university in Ithaca, N. Y., and is a Med ford High school and Univer sity of Oregon graduate. Mrs. Shinn is the former Miss Gail McDuffcc, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul McDuf fee, 200 Hillcrest road. The Shinn' have two sons, Paul and Jack.
