MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE. MEDFOHD. OREGON SUNDAY. DECEMBER 23. 1862 Aliens Reminded to Report Addresses Portland District Director Alfred J. Urbano of the Im migration and Naturalization Service has noted that the annual alien address report program usually causes a sharp rise in the number of applications for naturaliza tion. The law requires all aliens In the United States, with few exceptions, to report their addresses each January. Throughout the United States, almost 30 per cent more ap plications for naturalization are received during the months of January, February and March than are received during other months. Urbano attributes this rise to the Alien Address Report program. Aliens not required to make this report are diplomats, those accredited to certain in ternational organizations and those who have entered tem porarily as agricultural labor ers. Forms for making the re ports will be available to aliens at all post offices and offices of the Immigration and Naturalization Service during January.
