OREGON Coyle-Buston Ceremony Held at Meeker Chapel Miss Sandra Key Buxton became the bride of Charles Edward Coyle In 2 o'clock afternoon rites read Novem bcr 24 in Meeker chapel of the Medford First Methodist church. The double ring cere mony was performed by the Rev. George Roseberry. Righimier, 4609 Gebhard road. Central Point, announce the engage. ment of their daughter. Miss Kathrine Diane Rightmier, ta Michael Edward Higday, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman H. Higday, 1S01 Prune street, Medford. The bride-elect is a senior at Craler High school and her fiance is a senior at Medford High school. No wedding data has been set. Book Club Contemporary Book club will meet Wednesday, Decem ber 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Richard W. Cray, Cherry lane. Mrs. Gray will give the program. Coyle, 708 Mrs. Charles L Park avenue. Miss Mary Zimmerman was the honor attendant and Miss Judy Morton was bridesmaid. Both are from Corvallis. Kenneth Hulburt Jr. was best man and Gary Staats and Darrel Ames, Corvallis. were the ushers. The bride, given in mar riage by her father, wore a gown of peau d'or made by classmates, Miss Judy Mor ton and Miss Kathy Gildca. The skirt was in a slim bell design with a lace overskirt and chapel train. The top was a fitted jacket with three quarter length sleeves and Sabrlna neckline. The bride's bouquet was a cascade of gar denias. She also carried a hairpin lace handkerchief made for her by Mrs. Charles Campbell, an aunt who lives in Milwaukee, Wise. The attendants wore floor length gowns of deep aqua marine velvet with bell skirts and bolero jackets. Each car ried a single white long stemmed rose. White chrysanthemums decorated the chapel and white bows marked the pews The reception given by the bride's parents was held in the church rooms. Table dec orations and favors were made by Mrs. Gordon Lord, an aunt of the bride in Ar lington Heights, 111. The couple left for their wedding trip to Madison, Wise, where they will live. For traveling the bride wore a moss green coat dress with rolled collar and full skirt. Her accessories were brown. Both the bride and bride groom attended Medford High school and both re ceived bachelor of science de grees at Oregon State university. The bride plans to enroll at the University of Wiscon sin for graduate study in chemistry. Ill Mn Iteerl and Miss Altenbuig ate sisters Miss Nyla Carlene Loven borg became the bi'ide of Gerald George Gilbert in a ceremony held November 22 at the First Presbyterian church at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon. Dr. D. Kirkland West officiated at the double ring rites attended by 125 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Lov enborg, 618 Dakota avenue. Mr. Gilbert's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harvey C. Gilbert, 131 Coolidge street, Ashland. Baskets of yellow and bronze pompon chrysanthe mums decorated the church and gold bows marked the pew ends and candelabra. William Wilson played the or gan wedding music and ac companied Otis Swisher, solo ist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over taffeta. It was fashioned with fitted bodice and long sleeves and the scalloped neckline was embroidered with iridescent sequins. The full skirt had a scalloped lace overskirt and the tulle was accented with lace appliques f mbroidered with sequins. Heirloom Pendant Her elbow length veil of nylon tulle was held by a crown of seed pearls and she carried a white orchid and slephanotis on a white bible, a gift from Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Bray. For something old she wore a heirloom diamond pendant, a gift from her ma ternal grandmother, Mrs. Inez Ludwick. She also had a six pence in her shoe. Attending the bride were four cousins: Miss Clarissa Shecdy, Portland, maid of honor, and Miss Irene Bru- stad, Quincy, Calif., and Miss Linda Lovenborg, and Miss Diana Lovenborg, both Smith River, Calif. The bridesmaids wore violet satin sheath frocks with three-quarter length sleeves and white lace overskirts fast ened with violet satin sashes. Their costumes were com pleted with matching shoes and pillbox hats accented with pearls and float veils. They carried pleated lace fans with bronze chrysanthemums. The maid of honor's frock was of light lavender and her flow ers were yellow chrysan themums on a pleated lace fan. Candlclighters were Ivar Biustad, Quincy, Calif., cousin of the bride, and Stephen Buchanan, Ashland, nephew of the bridegroom. Claron W. Henderson served as best man. Ushers were Daniel Dollarhide, Cres cent City, Calif., brother of the bridegroom; Sten A. Lovenborg, brother of the bride, and Richard Gunther, Ashland. For her daughter's wedding and reception which followed Mrs. Lovenborg wore n bciue sheath dress of brocade with matching jacket, mink trim med beige hat and beige and brown accessories. Her cor sage was of bronze chrysan themums. Mrs. Gilbert chose a light green wool suit with black accessories. Her flowers were a gardenia and pink rosebuds. Reception Held The reception was held at the church with Mrs. Douglas Hinesly, Mrs. Charles Jones and Mrs. William Riley, Eugene, assisting. Mrs. Gor don Palhmann cut and served the wedding cake decorated by Mrs. Lewis Maharry. The cake was cut with an heirloom knife given to the bride by her great uncle when she visited in Sweden. ! Mrs. Daniel Dollarhide, Crescent City, Calif., poured coffee and Mrs. Allan Iligm-I botham presided at the punch bow l. Mrs. Claron Henderson ! was in charge of the guest book and Miss Carolyn Shecdy. Portland, cousin of the bride, was at the gift I table. i Passing the bridegroom's Burns Return Ashland --Mr. and Mrs W. E Burns, pill Beach street, have returned from an ex tended motor trip which took them acros the United Stales to Georgia and Alabama. They visited also in Texas and southern California with rel atives and friends. cake were Debra and Sabina Lovenborg, cousins of the bride from Smith River. The couple traveled to Port land on their wedding trip, the bride wearing a blue wool knit sheath with matching jacket and white fur felt hat. Her corsage was a white or chid. The couple is at home at 820 Belmont street. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and Portland School of Denial technology. She is employed as dental receptionist and as sistant to Dr. Leland L. Picr son. Mr. Gilbert is a graduate of Ashland High school and is an instructor with Arthur Murray Studio. Arnold Sam uelson, all Smith River; Mr. and Mrs. Zane Gray and daughter, Pamela, of Lake view; Mr. and Mrs. Folke Or ling and son, Scott, Canyon ville, cousins of the bride; William Riley, and son, Mich ael, 'and daughter, Kathi, and Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Raup, all of pugene; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Buchanon Jr., Vale, nephew of bridegroom; Mrs. Caroline Sheedy, Portland, cousin of the bride; Miss Pat ricia Leek, Hillsboro, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dollarhide, Grants Pass. The evening prior to the wedding a rehearsal dinner was given by the bride's par ents at Kim's restaurant. Some 24 persons attended. High School Show Slated The Medford Senior High school symphonic band and choir will present a joint radio show on stage in the High school auditorium, Sun day, December 9 at 2 p.m. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and a small admission charge will be made. Tickets may De purchased from Purucker's tion KMED Music house, Emerald Music company, the high school or any band member, and they will be available at the door. There will be no reserved seats and seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
