V.I 1 ;.v :, .SsT3. 1 Start with a collection of bottle caps, jar lids, foil, bits of ribbon, ball point pen cases, plastic hair curlers, odds and ends of tinsel, yarn, ribbon, button! and braid. Use scissors, pliers, glue, wire and plenty of imagination. Result, more than 100 bright, gay Christmas ornaments to be used in decorating the Veterans' Admin istration domiciliary at White City. This was accomplished by seven members of Medford Garden club who report that they purchased nothing new for the decorations' workshop held recently at the home of the club president, Mrs. I- D. Fitzgerald, 3488 New Ray road. MedfordTOWTribune MEDFORD, OREGON, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1962 Odds and Ends Plus Imagination Make Gay Christmas Decorations For one ornament (below) pink flowers and yarn were arranged on a paper bottle cap which had been covered with foil and tinsel; others were cen tered with the brightly colored caps from detergent bottles combined with tinsel and tiny Christmas balls. Wires at back will be used to attach the ornaments to evergreen swags and sprays for the domiciliary rooms. December 15 and 16 member of all the garden club, in the Siskiyou district, Oregon Federation of Garden clubs, will assemble at the domiciliary to make the swags and wreathi and to decorate the rooms and halls of the buildings. It will take about 400 wreaths and swags for the prOect.
