OREGON Sermon and Music Noted atZion 'What Are You Looking For?" is the sermon topic to be presented by the Rev. H. C. Coovert at Zion Lutheran church Sunday. The anthem to be sung by the senior choir will be "I Will Thank Thee, O Lord". A series of classes of in struction for the purpose of preparing persons who desire church membership will start Sunday at 4 p.m. and will be conducted by the pastor. The classes will meet in the Fire side room each Sunday for five weeks. The classes will culminate in reception into church membership, on Sun day, Dec. 30, during the 11 a.m. worship service. Thursday at 7:30 p.m. the Sunday School teachers and officers will meet in the Fire side room. Final plans for the Sunday School Christmas pro gram and buffet supper will be made at this meeting. Californian to Speak in Ashland Ashland - Andrew House, Oakland, Calif., will be the featured speaker at a series of meetings next week at the Lithia Church of Christ, Ash land. The meetings will be held from Nov. 25 through Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. It was noted that Mr. House is not expected to arrive in time for the Sunday service so Marshall llannan, Grants Pass, will speak. Mr. House has preached for more than 20 years and served as a counselor in California Bible camps. While in Ashland he will conduct a teacher training course for the Bible class teachers of the Churches of Christ. Harvey Martin of Medford will be the song director for the meetings. Mem bers have been asked to take their pledges for the church for the coming year and to the Oregon Baptist camp and Church Extension fund. The Rev. Clifford Young's morning message will have as its theme, "1 Pledge Alle giance," using Matthew 22:15 22 as scriptural basis. The chancel choir will sing: "Beautiful Savior," by Chris tiansen.
