Three new officers were elected. Thcv were serneaol- at-arms, Jean Lcvtzow; treas urer, Nancy Frick; and salute leader, Carolec Kucst. New business involved club acceptance of a community project to repair and iron welfare clothing. After the formal business meeting, the members began repairs on clothing for their new project. The next meet ing will be Dec. 15. Joyce Anderson, Reporter Oregon, Idaho Agree on Bridge Boise-rtJPIl-Oregon and Ida ho highway officials met here Tuesday and agreed to con struction of a new one-way westbound bridge acros-j the Snake river between Ontario and Gayway Junction on U.S. 95. The present structure would be retained for one-way east-bound traffic. Idaho Board Chairman Wally C. Burns indicated Ida ho probably would be unable to participate in the program for at least two years. However, Oregon Highway Commission Chairman Glenn L. Jackson said it was possible Oregon could design and build the bridge in the near future, and allow Idaho to contribute its 50 per cent chare of construction at' a later time. 'This would save us i year on this bridge," Jackson said, "and it is badly needed to take care of a hazardous traf fic situation." The Oregon commission also promised "to cooperate" in construction of a new bridge across the Snake river at Olds Ferry when Idaho "is ready to program it."
