The seven o'clock evening ceremony was performed by the Rev. Warren Christensen. About 125 guests attended. The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles O. Cear ley, 30 West Third street, Eagle Point, attended Eagle Point schools and has been living in San Leandro, Calif., where she is employed by the United California bank as a commercial bookkeeper. The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Violet Otto of San Leandro is serving with the Navy as an aviation electronics tech nician second class. He re ceived his education in Mound, Minn., schools. Mrs. Arthur Phillpott, Cor vallis, was matron of honor and Mrs. George Allen, Eacle Point, was bridesmatron. Both are sisters of the bride. A cousin of the bride, Susie Robertson, Castro Valley, Calif., was flower girl and a nephew, Brad Chamberlain, Fortuna, Calif., was the ring bearer. Candlelightcrs were Karen Chamberlain, Fortuna, Eddie Adamson, Medford and David Allen, Eagle Point. Mr. Phillpott served as best man and the ushers were Leonard Adamson, Medford, a brother of the bride. Jack Chamberlain, Fortuna, a brother-in-law of the bride, and Ron Grcb, Eagle Point. Escorli Daughter Mr. Cearley escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. The bride's full length gown was of satin designed with train and trimmed with Chan tilly lace and mother of pearl. Her veil was of the same lace with mother of pearl trim and she carried a while Bible with a white carnation bou quet. The matron of honor wore a French blue satin sheath frock with an ovcrskirt of chiffon. The bridesmatron's sheath dress was of gold satin also designed with overskirt. Their nosegay bouquets of carnations matched their gowns. White and yellow chrysan themums decorated the church. The wedding songs were sung by Arthur Friescn, Med ford. accompanied by Mrs. Ray Powers at the organ. Mothers Wear Blue For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Cearley wore a royal blue wool suit with black ac cessories and Mrs. Otto, the bridegroom's mother, wore a light blue dress with black accessories. Both had gar denia corsages. The reception was held in the Cearley home, about 100 guests attending. For traveling the bride wore a brown linen suit with beige accessories. The couple will live at 1540 164th avenue, Apartment 28, San Leandro, Calif. Out-of-town guests included the grandparents of the bride groom, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Couple Plans Honolulu Rites Ashland Mr. and Mrs. Conrad While, Honolulu, Ha waii, have announced the en gagmcnt of their daughter, Miss Linda Eileen While, lo Frank Marshall Thompson, son of Mrs. Jeanotte Thomp son, 351 Morton street, Ash land. Miss While attended South ern Oregon college last year and now is employed by Inter Island tours in Hawaii. Her fiance is a student at Oregon Technical institute, Klamath Falls, majoring in highway construction. Mason, Portland, president of the Oregon State Federation of Garden clubs, and Mrs. J. W. Scheel, Cor vallis, vice president, will at tend a session of the Siskiyou district, Oregon Federation of Visitor Returns After Stay Here; Feted at Parties Mrs. Helen Wheeler, former Medford resident now living in Phoenix, Ariz., was a re cent guest at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hess, 164 South Keeneway drive. During her slay Mr. and Mrs. Hess were hosts for a cocktail parly in her honor, inviting friends of Mrs. Wheeler lo their home. Also entertaining in Mrs. Wheeler's honor were her sister-in-law, Mrs. Leo Williams, who gave a luncheon, and Mrs. George Gates, who was hostess for a dinner party for 30 guests al Mon Desir inn. En route home, Mrs. Wheel er stopped in San Jose, Calif., to spend some time with her nephew. Dr. William Hess, Mrs. Hess and their family. Cards Planned By Sojourners Bridge, pinochle and canas ta will he in play al a meet ing of the Sojourners club Thursday, October 25 in the Girls Community club. The session will open al 12:30 p.m.. and a brief business meeting will be conducted. All women who have lived in Medford or vicinity for two years or less, who are inter ested, are invited to attend and to become club members. Garden clubs, Wednesday, October 24. The meeting will he held in the Central Point Grange hall with the Crater Garden club as the host group. Registration will open al 9 a.m. Mrs. O. V. Poe, Phoenix, district director, will preside. Speakers for the day will he Mrs. M. C. Overgaard, Wolf Creek, who will speak on landscaping; John Mc Loughlin, urban agent for Jackson county extension service, whose subject will be arboretums, and Mrs. Cliff E. Green, Central Point, who will show slides on landscap ing. Entertainment will be pro vided by the Colleen Hope Dance studio of Central Point. Luncheon will be served at noon by members of the Central Point Grange Home Economics club. Halloween Party Set for Gamma Xi Gamma Xi chapter. Beta Sigma Phi, members will be guests of Mrs. Raymond Dal laire, chapter director, for a Halloween party October 27. At a meeting of the chapter October 17 in the home of Mrs. Richard Piper, Central Point, Omar Bacon, librarian of the Public Library of Med ford and Jackson County, spoke on various forms of lit eralure and the use of the li brary. Mrs. Herbert Edwards was in charge nf the cultural program. Mrs. Carrol Adams was cohostrss with Mrs. Piper. Refreshments were served. L 1 Carol Ann Smith Spring Rites Plan of Pair Shady Cove Mr. and Mrs. James C. Smith, Shady Cove, announce the engagement of their daughter. Miss Carol Ann Smith, to Dewey Lee Henderson of Eagle Point. The news first was made known during a buffet din ner given in honor of the couple in the home of the bride's parents. Both are Eagle Point High school graduates. The bride elect attended Shasta Junior college and now is employed by the secretary of state in Salem. Her fiance is also a grad uate of Oregon Technical in stitute and now is employed by Wades Refrigeration serv ice of Medford. An early spring wedding is planned. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald K McKemie are making their home at 2154 'i Craler Lake avenue, following their re turn from a wedding trip to the California coast. The bride is the former Edith Marie Van Hoy. daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor L. Van Hoy, 3267 Freeland road. Central Point. Mr. McKemie's parents are Mr. and Mrs. W. H. McKemie, 1013 West Main sireet, Medford. The couple was married October 5 at 7 o'clock in the evening at the home of Dr. George G. Roseberry, minist er of First Methodist church. The Roseberry home, 3310 Hollywood avenue, was dec orated with baskets of white, lavender and purple asters. Miss Sharon Smilh sang. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a while suit, pink hat and white ac cessories. Her bouquet was of white orchids, pink carna tions and stephanolis. A reception followed the wedding at the Van Hoy home in Central Point. For traveling to the coast Ihe bride wore a royal blue suit with while accessories. The bride is a graduate of Crater High school, Robert son School of Business and is a bookkeeper for Dr. John T. Weiscl. The bridegroom is a graduate of Medford High school and is employed by Tomistan Enterprises. Lawyer To Speak For DAR Meeting John R. Dellenback will speak during a meeting of the Crater Lake chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Saturday, Octo ber 27 at 1:30 p.m., in the Girls Community club. Hostesses Will be Mrs. Judd Greenman, assisted by Mrs. M. M. Morris, Mrs. R. G. Beach and Mrs. C. B. Pankey.
