Funeral arrangements will be announced by Conger Morris Funeral directors. WALTER A. JAMES Funeral services tor Walter A. James, 76, of Shady Cove, who died Sunday, will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in Conger Morris downtown chapel. The Rev. George Rosebcrry ot the First Methodist church will officiate. Committal will be in Cloverdale cemetery at Creswell, Ore. Mr. James was born Feb. 23, 1886, in Creswell, and had lived in Shady Cove for the past 10 months. He had been employed as a welder in west coast shipyards. He was married Dec. 5, I960, in Berkeley, Calif., lo Mary Marie Sims, who sur vives. Other survivors include a son, Howard James, Sweet Home, Ore.; two brothers, Loren James, Medford; and Joe James, Springfield, Ore.; and two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Hills, and Mrs. Erma Bolin, both of Springfield, Ore. a son, Dr. O. EDNA REED GOULD Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Reed Gould, 64, of Weed. Calif., who died in Red ding Saturday, were held at the Grace Presbyterian church in Weed Tuesday. The Rev. Harold Foster officiated. Mrs. Gould died in Redding Saturday of a heart attack while attending a Shrine function. ! - She was born In North Da kota April 8. 1898, and had lived in California for 40 years. She was a member and past matron of Fidelity Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Dunsmuir, secretary of Yreka Nile club, and a member of Menzalch Temple, Daughters of the Nile, a member of Grace Presbyterian church and the American Legion auxiliary. She is survived by her hus band, Richard Gould, Weed; THOMAS E. WERT Hornbrook Thomas Ernest Wert, 74, of Yreka, died Thursday morning at Siski you General hospital follow ing a short illness. Mr. Wert was born Oct. 16. 1888, in Aurora, Neb., and moved to Hornbrook in 1932, where he lived for several years. He later mo cd to Hill, where he was employed by the Fruit Growers Supply company. Most recently he had been a watchman for Hi-R i d g e Lumber company at Mon tague. Mr. Wert is survived by his wife, Bertha, of Yreka; a daughter, Mrs. Lela Francis, Stevenson, Wash.; a stepson, Robert Johnson, Yreka; a brother, Joseph Wert, O'Neill, Neb., and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Montague Baptist church. The Rev. Howard Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the Henley-Hornbrook cemetery. MRS. Graham, Anderson, Calif., Mrs. Rodric Stock, Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. F'ranccs MacNamara, Miami, Fla. Eric Gerard Rohl was born Sept. 5. 1957, in Seattle, Wash. Carl Alan Rohl was born Sept. 21, 1960, in Oak land, Calif. They are survived by their father, David S. Rohl, San Francisco, and their grandparents. Hardy, 74, of 2307 Springbrook road, Medford, who died Thursday, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Perl Funeral home. Dr. D. K. West, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, and the Rev. George V. Bol ster, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal church, will offici ate. Interment will be in Ash land Mountain View ceme tery. Mrs. Hardy was born June 19, 1888, in Washington, Iowa. She lived in the Rogue valley for the past 49 years. She started teaching school when she was 16 years old and has taught for 21 years, both in eastern Washington and in southern Oregon. She was a charter member of the Medford Writers club, and the Rogue Valley Knife and Fork club. She was a member of the Southern Ore gon Art Society, National Re tired Teachers association, Eastern Star, DAR, Rogue Valley College Women's club. First Presbyterian church and past president of Presbyterian Women's association, Charity Circle, and for several years she has been secretary of the Presbyterian Adult Bible Class. On Sept. 10. 1913, in Ash land, she was married to Ar thur V. Hardy, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Grace Crowell, Roseburg, Mrs. Eliz abeth Archibald, Boise, Ida ho, Mrs. Margy Chcsney, Med ford; one brother, Melvin Kiner, Wilbur, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. M. C. Draper, Wilbur, Wash., Mrs. Thomas Johnston, Greenacrcs, Wash., Mrs. Raynor Jonason, Pouls bo, Wash., and five grandchil dren.
