F. Thornton. Removal of such restrictions allows camp fires on national forest lands without permits and lifts all smoking restric tions within the forest. How ever, he urged all people to take normal care with fire since drying periods may oc cur at any time. The forest supervisor also warned thai California law requires burning permits be obtained before burning slash and other debris or brush, timber or grass covered lands until Dec. 1. Burning permits may be obtained from any U. S. Forest service ranger station or from the California division of forestry offices at Yrcka, Fort Jones and Mac-doel.
