S.D.; five grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Casket bearers will include John McCoy, Robert Jantzer, William Robinson, Joseph El ler, Meredith Parsons Sr., and J. F. Mr. and Mrs. John Yates. Anchorage, Alaska; his grandparents. The districts are west of The Dalles. The election was held last May 7. Judge Wilkinson ruled against seven taxpayers who claimed the election should be declared void because of ir regularities in procedure. A new high school is planned in the Chcnowith area. There is a need for food and clothing for the boys in the family, and anyone who would like to contribute cither of the articles should contact Mrs. Chamberlain. Robert Bittcrling reported on the Jackson county booth at the Slate Fair, which is sponsored by the Pomona Grange. He said in the land products division, at least 30 first prizes were won by local participants. A report on the Jackson County Death Benefit Plan was made. The plan is now ready to accept membership and any Grange member who is interested should contact one of the directors or secre tary of the plan. Charles Hockersmith re ported on agricultural inter, est; and said that the alfalfa seed crop is poor this season.
