evening service Sept. 9. The
Rev. John Goddard, Tenmile,
had charge of the morning
worship.
The Thompsons studied the
ology at the Bible Standard
College at Eugene. His first
pastorate was at Gold Bar,
Wash., in 1951.
The Thompsons came to
Tiller from Bend. They have
three sons, Randall 10, Jeffery
8, and Bradley 6.

An interesting program was
presented previous to the
regular meeting of the Cen
tral Point Grange recently.
Mrs. Lester Gordon intro
duced Celia, Christine, and
Maryls Gorden, who per
formed several dances and
acrobatic numbers. They
were accompanied by Mrs.
Theron Gorden, their teacher.
A skit "Bargain Sale" was
presented by Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Walters, and Mrs. Walters
gave a reading, "One Suc
cessful Farmer."
Miss Mary Louise Truly re
viewed the 4-H summer
school.
Delmar Smith reported on
the State Fair booth the Po
mona Grange had for Jackson
county. A report on the fruit
display at the Fair was given
by Dee Hcndrickson.
