Store Is Purchased The Medford Paint and Wallpaper store, corner of Sixth and Holly sts., has been sold to the Iverson Paints, Inc., firm of Eugene, manu facturers of paints. Owners of the firm since 1955 have been Mr. and Mrs. Erhardt J. Blind. Blind will continue to be manager of the local store, he said this week. The sale was effective Sept. 1. The store will be known as the Ivcrson's Medford Paint and Wallpaper Store. Blind said the store will continue as in the past, stock ing a complete line of paints and wallpapers and related items. Composer of East German Anthem Dies Berlin CUPIt Hanns Eisler, 64, composer who wrote scores for a number o' Holly wood films and a song which became the East German na- tional anthem, died Thurs- j day in East Berlin. Eisler was a brother of Ger harv Eisler, who fled the U.S. on the Polish liner Batory in 1949 after his conviction for rcfusi.ig to testify before the House Un-American Activ ities Committee. Hanns Ei?ler had left the U.S. in 1947 after he was ordered deported after an in vestigation by the same House committee.
