Bailey Jr., recently released after being held prison er by the Communist forces in Laos. The President is shown after he pinned the Bronze Star on Major Bailey, who is re cuperating from the rigors of his imprisonment. Also shown is the major's daughter, Barbara, 18. (UPI) Fowler Horses Place in Regional Fairs Milly's Pride, a registered quarter horse mare owned by Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Fowler, 5747 South Pacific highway, Medford, placed as grand champion mare in the Jose phine County Fair horse show last week. The mare also took a first place. Two colts, Pat, a yearling quarter horse stallion, took second place in the class, Colts of 1961, and Rondo Lo, a 2-year-old filly quarter horse also took a second place. Earlier in August at the Siskiyou County fair, five of the Fowlers' quarter horses placed in competition in the halter division. Pat won fourth place in the yearling stallion class; Trends Twist er was fourth in the five-year-old and older event; Rondo Lo took fifth in the vwo-year old mare class, and Milly's Pride was in sixth place for mares four years old and older. They also showed Raider Mount, a quarter horse stal lion owned by O. Z. Parker of Jacksonville, which took a first and a grand champion ship at Grants Pass, and was third in the Siskiyou County fair in the three - year - old event. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Miller and son, Bob Jr., who raise horses on a ranch on Jenny creek, Greensprings, also at tended the Siskiyou County fair. They showed an Appa loosa, Copper Coin, in the yearling class, and the colt took second place. Tre young er Miller rode Del Rio Duke to win the keyhole race. Bob Brdecko of the Miller ranch took fourth place at the Siskiyou fair in barrel racing on Top Pepper. The couple also showed their gelding, Tourniquet, which won a first and reserve cham pionship. Archbishop To Speak At Annual Meeting New York - IUPU - The Arch bishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev. Arthur Michael Ramsey, will be the principal speaker at the annual meet ing of the House of Bishops of the Protestant Episcopal church in the United States next October in Columbia, S.C. The Archbishop is due to arrive in New York Oct. 12 for a month-long tour of the United States. His last visit was made in 1959, two years before he became Archbishop.
