Mr. Fra zier is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Frazier, 3340 Dark Hollow road. Miss Govenor was gradua ted from Prospect High school in 1962. Mr. Frazier is a graduate if Medford High school, and is employed by Table Rock Lumber compa ny. The wedding is planned for November 22 in Kingdom Hall, Medford. Recent Shower Honors Bride Miss Gerry Maehren, whose marriage to James M. Hen ney, was an event of August 14, was honored earlier this month at a bridal shower giv en in the home of Mrs. Ebron Griffitts, 6198 Table Rock road, Central Point. The gift table was decorat ed with a bride doll and rib bons in lavender with an ar rangement of roses. D. R. Hendrickson furnish ed piano music for the even ing and a cake decorated in the wedding theme was serv ed. About 20 guests attended from Gold Hill, Central Point and Medford. At the altar, an arch was entwined with ivy and gladioli; double can delabra were on each side. The pew ends were marked with sprays of pink, white and lavender gladioli, white bows and candles. Miss Julie Gandt and Dr. R. J. Nordquist furnished solos. Douglas Cummings played the organ. Models include the Mes- dames B. Brandt Bartels, Billy Blackstone, Jack Edson, Richard Hensley, Donald Her ried, Frank Hopewell, John Lynch, Raymond Miksche, Brian Mullen, and Houston Pitts. Coiffures for the models will be done by Hair Fash ions, 125 West Main street, under the direction of Glenn. Guests will be served cock tails and hor d'oeuvre during the style show, which is sched uled for 6:30 p.m. Reservations may be made with Mrs. Gilbert Tumy at 772-7400. Proceeds from the function will go to the League's kindergarten for hard-of-hcaring children. Teacher Leaves For Germany Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Miller returned recently to their home at 2200 Ruhl Way after a vacation in North Dakota, Montana, and Idaho. They were accompanied by their daughter. Miss Carolyn Miller, who departed after their return trip for Nurn berg, Germany, where she will resume teaching sixth grade in the Nurnberg Ameri can elementary school. Among the places the Mil lers visited were the Grand Teton mountains, Yellow stone and Glacier national parks, as well as the Seattle World's Fair. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of peau de soie' satin fash ioned with fitted bodice and scoop neckline. The full skirt was designed with scattered appliques decorated with pearls and iridescent sequins, and a big bow and chapel train accented the back. Her shoulder-length illusion veil was held by a crown of pearls, sequins and lace. She carried white carnations and pink rosebuds on a white Bible. Tucked inside the Bible was a lace handker chief which had belonged to the bridegroom's great-grandmother. The bride also wore a string of white pearls, a present from the bridegroom. Miss Norma Jenks. Med ford. cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and Mrs. Doug las Cummings, Rancho Cordo va, Calif., was matron of honor. The other bridemaids were Misses Peggy Gilbert and Connie Paulsen, both Medford. Miss Marilyn Roelfs, sister of the bride was junior bridesmaid. Their dresses were of varying shades of pink and lavendar organdy over taffeta, fash ioned with fitted bodice and impressed pleated skirts. Cloth flowers and sashes decorated the back of the skirts and their hats were flowers on a bow matching their dresses. They carried cascade bou quets of gladioli which matched their gowns. Each wore satin shoes the same shade as her dress, and white gloves. Two Candlelighters Miss Beth Wilcox, Central Point, and Miss Linda Wil son, Medford, were candle- lighters. Their frocks were of pink brocade and they wore white gloves and pink and white carnation wristlets. Miss Debbie Jenks, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a pink organdy dress with sheer white pina fore. Paul Roelfs, brother of the bride, was ringbearer. Vance Tinseth, San Jose. Calif., was best man for his brother. Other attendants were Hal Jenks, cousin of the bride, Douglas Kliever, Philip Grcsham, and Gene Gerlitz,- Roseburg, cousin of the bridegroom. The mother of the bride chose a pink lace dress with matching hat and white acces sories for the wedding and re ception. The bridegroom's mother wore a turquoise silk frock with matching shoes and hat and white gloves. Their corsages were pink rosebuds and white car nations. Mrs. Mary F. Smith, Med ford, grandmother of the bride, wore a lavendar bro cade dress and Mrs. Anna Swanson, Warren, the bride groom s grandmother, chose lace frock of dusty rose. They wore corsages of white gardenias. Reception Held The floral decorations for the church were arranged by Mrs. Lester Wilcox Jr., Cen tral Point, Mrs. John Clark, Medford, and Mrs. Pearl Tin seth. The reception hall was decorated by Mrs. Albert Gandt and Mrs. Lloyd Neil son. Mrs. Hal Jenks, cousin of the bride, was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Nora Jenks. aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Eugene Gcrlitz, Rose burg, aunt of the bridegroom, cut and served the cake. Punch was served by Miss Mary de Place and Miss Betty Young. Miss Cathie Curry, Newberg, gave out bridegroom's cake, and Miss Christine Prentice distributed rice bags. Miss Judy Frank lin and Miss Caroline Gandt also assisted during the re ception. The couple traveled to Monterey and Carmel. Calif.. j on their wedding trip. For I traveling, tile bride wore a pale blue sheath and jacket with white accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds and white carnations from her bridal bouquet. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and will be a sophomore at Southern Oregon college this fall. The bridegroom also graduated from Medford High school and attended Westmont col lege, Santa Barbara, Calif., Oregon State university and Southern Oregon college where he will be a senior this fall. He is employed at Trow bridge and Flynn Electric company. Out of town guests attend ing the wedding were Lewis Smith. The newlyweds are making their home at 1907 Prune MEDFORD. OHLGON Sally Rae Stringer Betrothal Told Of Two Students Ashland Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Stringcr.155 Seventh street, announce the engage ment of their daughter, Sally Rae, to David George Everett, son of Dr. and Mrs. E. G. Everett, 199 Granite street, Ashland. Both are 1962 graduates of Ashland High school and Miss Stringer will enter Southern Oregon college in September. Mr. Everett, who is employed by the Pioneer village in Ash land, will attend the Universi ty of Oregon in September. No date has been set for the wedding. Child7e'n"s Art Shown An exhibit of children's trt from 35 countries is on dis play in the children's depart ment of the Public Library of Medford and Jackson county. Sponsored by the Jackson county chapter of the Oregon United Nations association, the showing consists of work of children from six to 15 years of age. It is believed that children unconsciously long for peace, and express this desire in the interna tional media of art. Winning first place were Paul Hat- ton and Mrs. Fred Rehling, with 47 points. Mrs. J. J. Fine gan and Mrs. F. T .Burich, and John Pettibone and Mrs. Hugh Collins tied for second place with 46 points. V PHOTOGRAPHERS HOURS 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Newlyweds Are Honored Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Earl Lawson, whose wedding was an event of July 28 in Butte, Mont., were honored at a re ception given August 11 by the bridegroom's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Earl Lawson at their home at 301 Windsor avenue. About 150 guests were re ceived between the hours of two and five-thirty o'clock in the afternoon. The reception was decorated with a crystal bowl filled with white gladioli and pink, white and mint green gladioli decorated the living room and buffet. Pouring were Mrs. Mahr Reymers and Mrs. R. Duke Lorton, Ashland; and Mrs. Richard H. Saul, Mrs. Harry P. Posten and Mrs. Alan S. Markce, Medford. Others who assisted during the event were the Misses Ellen Montgomery, Rita Ol son, Georgia Johnson, Sandra Bates; and Jarl Dyrud, Wal lace Huffman. Michael Callan and Thomas Barker. The bride is the former Miss Jerilyn Ann McGee, daughter of Mrs. Fred M. Mc Gee, Butte. Mont., and the late Mr. McGee. Wedding in Bulle The wedding ceremony was performed at 12:30 o'clock by the Rev. Dorrance P. John ston in the St. John the Evan gelist church. The double ring rites were attended by about 200 guests. Miss Luann Murphy, San Francisco, Calif., a cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss DcEtta Law son, a sister of the bride groom, and Miss Carol Robin son, Great Falls, Mont., another cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. Michael Hartley, Moses Lake, Wash., served as best man, and Gilbert C. Clark Jr., Wichita, Kan., and Regi nald H. Gladhard, Aurora, Colo., both uncles of the bridegroom, seated the guests. William McGee, Butte, a brother of the bride, escorted his sister to the altar. The bride's gown of silk organza was styled with a fit ted bodice and the scalloped neckline was outlined with seed pearls and sequins. The billowing skirt was designed with tiers trimmed with pearls and clusters of silk organza cabbage roses, and chapel train. She carried an arm bouquet of pink rose, and her veil of silk illusion was held by a crown of seed pearls and sequins. The attendants wore gowns of silk organza with lull skirts and draped bodices of fitted satin, the maid of honor being In shrimp pink and the bridesmaids mint green. Members of the St. John Senior choir sang the mass accompanied by Miss Margie McGrath. For the wedding the bride's mother wore a turquoise chif- ton sheath with matching ac cessories and her corsage was of pink rosebuds. The bride groom's mother chose a gold chiffon draped sheath with matching accessories and her corsage was of talisman roses. The reception, given by the bride's mother, was held In the Copper bowl of the Hotel Finlen. For their wedding trip the couple traveled to Seattle, Portland and the Oregon coast and Medford. The bride wore a blue wool suit with white accessories for travel ing. Kan., and Is a grad uate student teacher in the drama department at the uni versily. The bridegroom has been active in drama circles of the school and is assistant soun 1 director of the theatei staff at the school.
