MEDFORD MAIl TRIBUNE. SUNDAY, AUGUST 12. 1962 Jackson County 4-H, FFA Fair Program Listed Home economics and non livestock exhibits, with the exception of flowers, vegeta bles, and wool, were in place today in preparation for judging at the annual Jack Bon county 4-H and Future Farmers of America fair. Fairgrounds cleanup was held, and the judging of the fiiir will start tomorrow at the fairgrounds south of Med ford. Horsemanship contests were held last week end, with sad dle horse judging, showman ship, trail horses, and colt classes judged Saturday, Aug. 4. Other divisions and run offs of the same contests were held Sunday. Saturday and Sunday judg ing of non-livestock and h6me economics exhibits will be held. During these days the fair is closed to the public and will open Monday at noon. The schedule for the fair throughout next week fol lows: Monday. Aug. 13 NoonAll entries to be in place. 1 p.m. Rabbit judging con lost followed by rabbit judg ing. 1 p.m. - Poultry judging contest followed by poultry judging. 1 p.m. Agriculture dem onstrations. 7 p.m. Rabbit showman ship, starting with seniors. 7 p.m. - Poultry showman ship, starting with seniors. 7 p.m. - Agriculture demon strations continue. Tuesday. Aug. 14 6 a.m. - Weigh steers and lambs. 8:15' a.m. - Livestock exhib itors meeting. 8:30 a.m. - Livestock judg ing contest. 10 a.m. - Beef fitting con test, judging starting with seniors. 10 a.m. - Forestry identifi cation contest. 1 p.m. --Wool judging. 1 p.m. Beef showmanship, judging starting with seniors. 7 p.m. - Beef showmanship championship finals. Wednesday. Aug. IS 6 a.m. - Weigh swine. 8:15 a.m. - Livestock ex hibitors meeting. 8:30 a.m. - Beef female judging. 12:30 p.m.-Flower arrange ment contest. 1 p.m. - Steer judging. 7 p.m. - Steer champion ship. Thursday. Aug. 16 8:45 a.m. - Livestock exhib itors meeting. 0 a.m.-Swine judging. 9 a.m. Dairy judging con test. 10:30 a.m. - D a i r y goat Judging. 1 p.m. - Market lamb judg ing. 1 p.m. - Guide dog obedi ence judging. 2 p.m.- Dairy judging. 7 p.m. Dairy judging con tinues. 7 p.m. - Swine show man ship Friday. The county fair will be held next week at the Jackson county fair grounds. SHEEP PROJECT-Sliccp will be among the many animals entered in the Jackson County 4-H and FFA fair. Among those who will participate will be Ross Conger, member of the Weslside 4-H Sheep club. He is shown with a Suffolk lamb. Also to be judged will be wool.
