Honored on Anniversary
The Rev. and Mr. Clarence
W. Frost, Lewis street, were
honored on their fiftieth wed
ding anniversary at a recep
tion at the Girls Community
flub July 30.
. Prior to the reception the
couple reaffirmed their mar
riage vows with the Rev.
Xoyce Carver, pastor of Apos
tolic Faith church officiating.
The Rev. Mr. Frost, retired
.minister, was pastor of the
.Medford church for 35 years.
. Mrs. Frost wore a while
'-and pink dress with matching
accessories and orchid cor
dage. Participating with them
:in the service were Mr. and
;Mrs. Lester Schlcigh, long
time friends of the couple.

Frost. Cutting and serving the
anniversary cake were Mrs.
Wilbur Hunt, Mrs. Carver,
Mrs. Chester Brown and Mrs.
William W. Wilhrow. The
cake was baked and decorated
by Mrs. Hunt.

Some 250 persons attended
the event. The couple was pre
sented with a gold money tree.
Mr. and Mrs. Frost were
married in the old Thompson
home on Granite street in
Ashland. They traveled to
Doris, Calif, by horse and
wagon on their wedding trip.
This fall Mr. and Mrs.
Frost, accompanied by their
son and daughter-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Melvin Frost, Grants
Pass, will sail from San Fran
cisco aboard the USS Flying
Enterprise of the Isbrantsen
Lines for a round-the-world
trip. Among the numerous
places to be visited by the two
couples will be Apostolic
Faith missions in the Domini
can Republic, Haiti. Bombay,
India, and Japan. They plan
to return to the United States
about February 1.

national convention held last

and is spending the remainder
of the summer vacation in
southern California with her

girls will compete in contests
at Oregon Stale Fair because
of winning in their divisions
at the county contests and
demonstrations week. They
will receive expense-paid trips
to the fair which begins Au
gust 31 in Salem.

Monday at 10 a.m. the Sen
ior Craftsman committee will
receive and register seniors in
terested in taking part in the
Senior Craftsman of Oregon
branch which is open at the
Ashland Art Gallery, 31 Water
street, Ashland.
The committee ha. decided
to meet one day each week,
on Mondays from 10 to 12
noon to allow other craftsmen
to take advantage of this op
portunity to show and sell
their hand crafted gift ar
ticles. Any person interested who
cannot get to the center on
Monday should call the center
at that time and make special
arrangements.
Bob Onstad, owner of the
Ashland Gallery, reported to
the artist jury last Wednesday,
that the number of visitors
work, copper and silver jewel
ry, glass mosaic and tile work,
and ceramics.
The gallery is open to the
public from 1 p.m. into the
late evening.
Activities continue this
week at the center, 601 East

more than 50 years of age.
