Johnson are living at 1735 Derby street, Klamath avails, following their ma rr lege July 21 in Reno, Nev. The bride is the former Miss Dana Faye Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Taylor, 515 West 11th street, Med ford, and the bridegroom' parents are Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Glassburn, Keno road, Kla math Falls. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Warren D. Ward in the Park Wedding chapel at four o'clock in the afternoon. . For her wedding the bride wore a blue suit with white accessories and her corsage was of white carnations. The chapel was decorated with baskets of pink and white flowers and pew ends were marked with pink rib bon bows. The couple made their wed ding trip to Virginia City and visited points of interest near Reno. ' The bride attended Med fnrd High school and until her wedding was a nurse's aide at the Milledge Con valescent home. The bridegroom received his education in Klamath Falls schools and is employed by the Weyerhaeuser Lumber mill in Klamath Falls. The couple was honored during a family reunion July 29 held in the home of the bride's parents. A bridal shower also was given when the bride was presented gifts for the kitchen. Thirty-three relatives attended. Marriage Of Interest In Hornbrook Hornbrook - Of interest here is news of the marriage on June .10 of Miss Regina Cotter. Hillsborough, Calif., and Michael Barnum, Horn brook. The 11:30 o'clock nup 1ial mass took place at St. Catherine's Catholic church In Burlingame, Calif., before an altar banked with while gladioli and chrysanthemums. The bride, escorted to the altar by her brother, Henry Cotter, wore a full length gown of white pcau de sole with insets of Alencon lace on the bodice and the chapel length train. Her bouffant veil was held by a crown of iridescent sequins and she carried white orchids and stephanotis. Serving her cousin as maid of honor was Miss Geraldine Cadogan, and bridesmaids were the Misses Judith Coats and Martha Rees, Hillsbor ough, and Miss Karen Jedin, Burlingame. All four attend ants wore identical gowns of pale aquamarine organza over taffeta with matching veiled hats, and carried cres cent of white gladioli. Richard Cotter, brother of the bride, performed best man duties for the bridegroom. Ushers, all Navy friends of the bridegroom, from Moffett field, were Roger Short from Nebraska, James Schwartz from Iowa, and John Smith from Ohio. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Richard Cotter and the late Mr. Cotter of Hillsbor ough, and is a graduate of Bur lingame High school. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Barnum, long time residents of Hornbrook. He is a graduate of Yrcka High school and was attend ing Oregon State university at Corvallis at the time he entered the Navy. The young couple marie their wedding trip to Lake Tahne anri Reno and then spent the remainder of the week at the Barnum home here. They are making their home in Sunnyvale, Calif., near Moffett field where the bridegroom in stationed. The hridceroom's grandmother, Mrs. Ella Pratt and his sister, Miss Penny Barnum. both Hornbrook, attended the err emony in Burlingame, and the reception which followed at the Cotter home in Hillsbor ough. Families Visit At Clark Home Shady Cove Mr. and Mrs. Bert Clark, Big Butte creek, have had as guests their granddaughter. Mrs. Keith Schock and children, Modesto, Calif. Johnson Musical Given In Shady Cove Shady Cove-Trail A mid summer musical was present ed in the McCorkle Music room on Williams Lane in Shady Cove July 29 In the afternoon. The guests listened to a "Magic Carpet" trip around the world which fea tured music of many nations. Musicians p a r t i c ipating were E. C. Root, Mr. Pickell, Mrs. Ray Lennox, Mrs. Glen Scott and Dclmar Myers, all of Medford. Dr. and Mrs. D. E. Millard, Eagle Point, and Susan Wilson and Mrs. Mc Corkle of Shady Cove. Of special interest was a flute solo written in the modern idiom and played by Delmar Myers. The hostess, Mrs. Lucille Allen, served punch following the program. She was assist ed by Mrs. Myers. Keep a sick child busy by giving him a button box and a spool of thread. Let him sort and string together all buttons of the same size. Main and Bartlett Streets V5 v xiX r I i Many Paintings Entered In Jubilee Art Exhibit Jacksonville Paintings by artists from the Rogue valley and other Oregon towns have been entered in the Jackson ville Jubilee Art show being held today in the Jacksonville Public library, on South Oregon street, one block from California street in downtown Jacksonville. From Seaside is a group of four large oils by Bertol Wons mas. arranged for with the artist by Mrs. Floyd Wyatt when rhe recently was in Sea side with her daughter, Miss Martha Wyatt, when she was chosen Miss Oregon of 19R2. The oils from Prinpville are done by Wayne Casey. Eugene Bennett, well known Medford artist, has entered works and a number of pictures have been exhibit- jed by Ben Ferguson, retired j Army officer, who recently moved to Jacksonville. Some of the other artists exhibiting are Mrs. Viola Moore, Gold Hill: Mrs. George Johnson. Mrs. Hellen Florey, William j Fontaine, Mrs. Grace Kurz, and Miss Margaret Osen- brugge, all of Medford. In connection with the art exhibit a mineral display of native gold from Jackson county has been entered by Dclmar Smith of the Crater Rock Museum in Centra! Point. Irwin Spenre and John Frazier of Medford had their boat on the lake and gave instructions in water skiing to those brave enough to make the attempt. Thirteen young people attended. Posf Noble Grands Announce Picnic Date Past Noble Grants club of Olive Rebekah lodge will hold a picnicSunday, August 12, at 5 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Scripter, 727 West Fourth street. Rolls and coffee will be furnished. This is the second annual picnic of the club. Phon, 772-6423 Club Disbands And Reorganizes The Town send Harmony club was disbanded last Wednesday during a meeting of the membership, who then organized a new group which they named the Security Ben efit club. Money which may be raised through the new group's projects will be used to the benefit of its members. A new charter will be drafted, officers explained. The group's musicians, J. P. Graham and Mrs. Ellaleen Townsend, were assisted at the Wednesday meeting by Mrs. Everett Sikes and Mrs. Oliver Dejarnett. Mrs. Ruth Johnston, a former member now living in California, was a visitor. The group will continue to meet on Wednesdays from 11 a m to 4 p.m., in the Pythian building. Any interested per sons are Invited to attend. Mr. Hewes will witness Sunday night's production of "Coriolanus," Monday eve ning's staging of "Comedy of Errors", and the premiere of "A Thieves Ballad", a special music-dance production which will be added to the regular repetory staging of the Ore gon Shakespearean festival.
