Beverly Jean Tresham Bride of Steven Morris Miss Beverly Jean Tresham became the bride of Steven Carlos Morris in a ceremony held Friday, July 20, in the Firt Presbyterian church here. The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Tresham, 1241Dowell road, Grants Pass, has been living at 306 Gar iield avenue, Medford. Mr. and Mrs. Carlos W. Morris, 128 Mistletoe avenue, are the parents of the bridegroom. Dr. D. K. West, pastor of the church, read the double ring rites before about 250 guests. The ceremony was held at 8 o'clock in the eve ning. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of lace and silk organza over peau de soie. The fitted lace bodice was fash ioned with three-quarter length sleeves and square neckline. McCurdy, 436 Berrydale ave nue, announce the engage ment of their daughter, Mau reen, to Roger E. Haugen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Haugen, 720 Northeast A street, Grants Pass. Miss McCurdy is a gradu ate of Medford High school and Southern Oregon college. She is past president of loia Omicron chapter, Kappa Delta Pi, national education honor society. The bride-elect, who is employed by Myron Root and company, Inc., is under contract to the Phoenix-Talent school district. This fall she will teach sev enth grade in the Talent Jun ior High school. Mr. Haugen attended Grants Pass High school, and has completed service in the United States Navy. He is a student at Southern Oregon college, where he is majoring in humanities. During the summer he is employed by Veneer Products, Inc., Grants Pass. The couple plan an August 31 wedding. Former Residents of Hornbrook Return Hornbrook - Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Jetter recently were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marshall, Sacra mento, Calif. The Marshalls are former Hornbrook resi dents. They are spending their va cation at their summer home at Sawyer's Bar. Grandchildren Visit Mrs. Mildred Wiley Hornbrook - While iheir parents are attending the World's Fair in Seattle and making a trip into Canada, Diane and Stephen Russell of Roseville, Calif., are staying here with their grandmother, Mrs. Mildred Wiley, at her home on Cottonwood creek. Mrs. Errol Tresham, Ta- coma, Wash., a sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of hon or. Others attending the bride wer Mrs. Duane Tresham, an other sister-in-law, Miss Kath leen Uridel, Mrs. Ervin Schultz, and Miss Judith Han nah, Eagle Point. The attendants wore sheath frocks of apricot colored silk organza, designed with side panels of silk organza, and silk organza rosettes with bridal veils. They carried white carnation bouquets. Henry Courtney was best ed by William Neuner, Eu gene, a fraternity brother of the bridegroom; Gary Ackley: Douglas Randalls, Reno, Nev., George Koch; and Bradley Morris, a brother of the bridegroom. The church was decorated with white gladioli. Carl Roll ings, Portland, a fraternity brother of the bridegoom, was soloist. Following the wedding a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Miss Gwen Rutherford, Eugene, and Mrs. Bradley Morris, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, cut and served the wedding cake. Mrs. Judy Thompson, San Jose, Calif., poured punch and Mrs. Harrison Thomas and Mrs. F. A. Falls, Whittier, Calif., poured coffee. For the wedding and re ception the mother of the bride wore a frock of apricot tone silk faille and lace, with m at c h i n g accessories. The mother of the bridegroom chose turquoise silk faille with shades of brandy and rose in her velvet hat. Both wore white orchid corsages. The couple flew from Port land to Chicago and Dayton, Ohio, for their wedding trip, the bride wearing a pink Ital ian silk and organza bloused costume with matching pink and bone accessories. They will make their home at 306 Garfield street about August 6. The parents of the bride groom were hosts for a re hearsal party Thursday, July 19, at their home. The bride was graduated from Eagle Toint High school, and attended Southern Oregon college. She is employed by Mann's Department as an as sistant buyer. Mr. Morris is a graduate of Medford High school and the University of Oregon and is a funeral director at Conger-Morris Funeral home. The bride is a daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Califf, 1473 East McAndrews road, and the parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Apperson, Mt. Shasta, Calif. He has been making his home at 12S Cottage street, Apartment H. The Rev. Gerald Nelson read the double ring rites at B o'clock in the evening. About 100 guests attended the ceremony. The church was decorated with baskets of blue and white gladioli and palms. The pew ends were marked with sprays of blue flowers and white ribbons. Mr. Califf gave his daugh ter in marriage. She wore a floor length sheath gown of silk organza with short train, fashioned with cap sleeves and bateau neckline. The waist at back was accented with a double bow, and the bodice and train were em broidered with rosebuds. Her elbow length veil was held by a pearl crown, and she wore short whiie gloves. Her bouquet was of white Fuji chrysanthemums. Miss Sheryl Califf, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Other attendants were Miss Janet Anderson, Central Point, and Mrs. Robert Mc Cracken, Portland. Miss Pris cilla Graham and Miss Carml Berriman, both Jacksonville, lighted the candles. Miss Califf wore a sheath frock in Copenhagen blue of taffeta and silk organza. Her headband was of matching blue, and she carried a cascade bouquet of blue and white gladioli. Miss Anderson and Mrs. McCrackcn wore dresses similar to that of the maid of honor, in cotillion blue. Their bouquets were of blue and white carnations. The candlelighters wore white street length frocks with blue taffeta belts and headbows. Their white tapers were decorated with sprays of blue flowers. Eva and Karl Schlappl, Portland, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. Jef frey Schlappi, Portland, also a cousin, was ring bearer. The flower girls wore white organza dresses with taffeta sashes. Their nosegays were of white carnations. William Mayes, Corvallis, was best man. Robert Mc Cracken, Portland, and Ed ward Graham, Jacksonville, seated the guests. For the wedding and recep tion which followed in the church parlor, Mrs. Califf chose a golden silk suit with matching beige accessories, Her corsage was two green cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Ap person chose a beige sheath frock with matching acces sories, and a rose-colored cymbodium orchid corsage. Mrs. D. Lorin Jackobs served the cake at the recep tion, and Mrs. Hal McCrack en, Portland, poured coffee. Mrs. Arthur Schlappi, Port land, aunt of Ihe bride, served punch. Miss Christine Schlap pi, Portland, was in charge of the guest book, and Miss Nancy Schlappi was at Ihe gift table. Both are cousins of the bride. Apperson (Knackstedt photo) Miss Sanner Honored; Rites Held Saturday Miss Sandra Sanner, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Galen Sanner, 1708 Stratford ave nue, was honored at a bridal shower Wednesday, July 25. Miss Sanner is the bride-elect of Raymond Rackley, Winne mucca, Nev. Mrs. Patrick McCoy and Miss Barbara Gordon were hostesses for the party, which was held at the O. G. Vander walker home, 1101 , South Oakdale avenue. About 25 guests attended the miscellaneous event. The wedding took place Saturday, July 28, in Reno, Nev. The congregation of the Church of the Nazarene were hosts for Ihe first shower, on July 12, with Mrs. Rex Goble in charge of the arrangements. About 50 guests attended the event. Both young people attend the Nazarene church, and are active In church work there. Mrs. Ronald Anderson, sister-in-law of the bridegroom elect, was hostess for the sec ond event honoring Miss Bohl.
