PATTERSON PLUMBING I HEATING CO. "Th On-Tim Plumber" tV WEST JACKSON ST. Phont 773-2768 W0NDtHrlJL Miami Beach, Fla. (UPI) Scott Mills Waier May Be Polluted Scotts Mills, Ore. - HOT -Marion county health officer Willard Stone Tuesday urged the 155 residents of this Wil liamette valley town to boil all their drinking water: He said the water supply here may be polluted. The water situation became severe Saturday when a leak was found in the city's 8,000 gallon reservoir. Most of the Scotts Mills water comes from Butte creek. The pollution threat will continue until the town gets a new water supply, Dr. Stone said. He noted that Butte creek isn't considered a com pletely safe source of drink ing water, and water now is leaking out of the reservoir nearly as fast as it is pumped in. City officials were planning emergency steps, including the calling out of special crews to work on the reser voir. CONFESSION - The Kane county sheriff in Geneva, 111., announced that he has obtained a 13-page confession from ex-convict Alex Wallace, 28, above, in which he ad mitted gunning down a fellow gang member, Herbert Kwate. Kwate's bullet-torn body was found in a quarry near Car pentersville, 111., a week ago. Kwate and Wallace were members of a gang of burglars who have been looting well-to-do families' in Chicago suburbs.
